Do you think the Patriots' victory celebration was unsportsmanlike?

I don't think the celebration was bad sportsmanship. The Pats were not expected to win the game. I think they were just letting off some steam after a week of hype about how good the Chargers were supposed to be. If the Chargers had won the game in Foxboro, I am willing to bet they would have done the same thing. I think the only bad show of sportsmanship was LT's reaction after the game ended.

The Patriots doing Shawn Merriman's dance isn't any worse sportsmanship than Shawn Merriman doing it to every othet team every time he makes a play. If the Chargers want to dance and celebrate, they need to expect other teams to do it as well. Maybe they should have listened to Ron Burgundy when he said "You stay classy San Diego!"

I think that all celebrations done on the field are unsportsmanlike. I think cngratualtion of the bench are god, and celebrations in the locker room and on the "team bus" are great. I think decorum should be maintained in the presence of the other team, and handshakes and compliments should be exchanged.

when you beat a great team in their backyard how are you supposed to celebrate, with milk and cookies?

I do not think it was excessive, considering that the Chargers would not sell Patriot fans tickets. What goes around comes around. No matter where you play, if you win, you are going to celebrate. They were celebrating for themselves and for all their fans who were unable to go watch their team play in the playoffs.

Logically, it is unsportsman like. But come on, if they won a game like that, I think we can throw the sportsman idea out of the picture.

Any team to make the playoffs should be proud!

Frustration is what I am feeling after reading and hearing all I have these last few days.

This was a great game. It was close right to the end. Nothing was "given" to anyone. The Patriots win because they make smart moves when needed. If the Chargers had won, would we be hearing this same explination of the win, that we "gave" it to them? No it was close because they are both great teams. The Patriots did what was need to win. The Chargers also tried the field goal kick - and missed it. We didn't do anything different.

These men get paid to play this "game", it's a job to them not just a game like it is to the rest of us watching from the stands or from your couch. When they are this close to playing in the Super Bowl - which is why they play, to get there, this "is" the goal - winning is very emotional and exciting. Naturally they celebrated! Had the Charges won they'd also have celebrated, on their field or on ours. After being taunted and not given the opportunity to have their fans, supporters, at the game, I'm sure it was just a bit sweeter of a win.

The actions of the Chargers organization regarding ticket sales was unsportsman like - a shame really. I would never have expected that from ANY organization!

I am confident in our team and the role they provide for my kids - had the Chargers won here in Foxboro. I'm sure Bill Belichick and/or Tom Brady would have stated that we lost to a great team, that we didn't do what was needed to win - we'd been out played. They'd have congratulated them and not been up
