Since the dog fighting has been going on since 2001 and the number of dogs that were tortured and killed I say 10 years in prison and
5 million dollar donation to the ASPCA.

What he was involved with is outrageous behavoir for a pro athlete who makes millions.

Personally, I would like to see him in a pit with a few particularly upset dogs, but realistically, I would be happy to see him lose all he's worked to get, namely, his NFL career. Jail time and heavy fines will be icing on the cake. I think losing his NFL career will hurt him pretty hard.

The maximum criminal penalty (since I figure it's too little on the average anyway) and lifetime suspension from the NFL with loss of pay.

Maximum penalty with hard labor along with a heavy fine. This guy is pure arrogance.

Vick should be given the corresponding punishment to whatever charges he is convicted of. By no means should he receive special treatment, but he must be treated fairly or we risk tarnishing a system of justice we desperately need. However, only the NFL should have the right to terminate his career given the outcome, not the courts.

If convicted he should get the standard penalty for running a dog fighting ring.

The NFL should suspend him for the amount of time they established he was running the dog fights.

Innocent until he is proven guilty.

he should volunteer at a shelter for abused and negleted animals, donate money. Since i'm morbid, when it comes to the abuse of animals and it's done by someone who knows better, throw him in a ring with a bull let him feel pain, like the losing dogs felt. i know that's out of line, but seriously, years he's been doing this without a slap on the wrist, let's bend him across the lap of the judical system.

It is disturbing to think that an athlete as celebrated as Vick could potentially be involved in such reprehensible behavior. At the very least, if convicted, he should be permanently removed from the NFL spotlight where his influence can affect young impressionable minds.

!0 years in jail, $500,000 fine paid to animal shelters in the state he is convicted in. Ban for life from the NFL. and while in prision make him go to animal shelters and make him clean the cages of these animals.

I'm not in a kind mood. Stick him in a ring with a few of the dogs his place "trained" and let them have a free for all. Yea, i know its kindof gross. But I never claimed to be nice.

i think that like most people the punishment should relate to the crime.. he should have to pay a fine of 5 million or more, do the same amount of prison time that any regular person would have to do for dog fighting and cruelty to animals (no special treatment because he can throw around a football) and after he gets out of prison he should have to do a certain amount of hours of community service at an animal shelter.

Vick if proven guilty, should be locked up in a small ring with 5 pit bulls, see how evasive and quick he can be.

That fact that he didn't need the money and enjoyed such savagery, is absolutely sickening.

I can not watch the news anymore! They found 2 dead pitbulls with severe bite wounds in New Bedford. One floating in the Marina the other in a plastic bag on the beach. I miss my Shenzi, she was 14yrs old when she died last June. We adopted 2 month old Destiny from a Pitbull rescue in RI a month later. I look at her and can't imagine how its so easily done.
I think Vick is a savage and deserves 100 times more then he'll ever get.
