Under certain working conditions where a person could actually hurt themselves in their daily jobs without the protection for their toes/feet,then yes ban them..they are not the correct equipment for hospitals at all.

Honestly, every time I see someone wearing these things, I laugh. They do look pretty ridiculous! But I've never worn them, and if they're comfortable and safe, and you're not breaking a company or professional dress code, I say go ahead and wear them. Although as far as hospital workers go, I think it's both unprofessional and unsafe on their part to wear shoes like this on the job.

Crocs are adorable on kids, but just look ridiculous on adults!

DON'T, Plastic shoes don't bode well on wet floors. If I were in an emergency situation, I'd like to know my nurse won't end up in the bed next to me as a patient if she fell while responding to a code blue!
Besides, they look childish, especially with those 'buttons' stuck in the holes. Grow up, look and act professional. Keep them in your locker and wear them to and from work.

I was in Colorado three summers ago and they were the rage then, I so wanted to buy some but my husband let me know how ugly they were. I came home to NH with out them, now they are huge here. I could of been a trend setter! Oh well. I still dont have a pair, but my kids do. They are SO easy to have them put on themselves! I dont care if they are in the water, mud, or whatever because of the ease of cleaning.
I must add, some, if not all women should stay away from them due to they do nothing to make your legs look nice. they make you look like you have "cankles" :)

I really don't agree my sister works at a hospital and she has them and her feet fell so much better and her back doesn't hurt from working those long hours. If they don't hurt anyone or the the person wearing them then just let it go and let them wear the shoes. I just looked at my daughters crocs and on the bottom of the shoe has little bumps I guess you would call them but they wouldn't slip not with what is on the bottom of them. If you want to get picky then lets not have nurses wear clogs to work the bottom of them are alot smoother then the crocs which would make them slide more on a floor and there isn't even a back on them they can fly right off someone's foot. I really don't agree and I think if the shoe makes there job easier and make them feel better then just let them wear them again they are working long hours and anything that can make there job easier I am for it. Thanks.

Crocs are fine...but they are definitely a chick shoe, same as VW Bug is a chick car
