Do you think your spouse should be able to sue you for snooping through their emails?

Absolutely not. However, if the other spouse is smart enough they would have already put a password on the total system, so acts like that would be impossible.

Wow, I'm sure that would rank high on the list of 'Stupid Things That Waste Valuable Court System Time'. JustinFranklin is right, they should have a password to protect against snooping, however, if they have something to hide from their spouse that is so serious they would take them to court for it, then perhaps they shouldn't be together??? I don't know.

Sue your spouse and you sue yourself.

What's yours is mine when you are married in Massachusetts. You are a secretive fathead and you're ready to do anything behind your spouses back.

Once the divorces is final. Just try and get a judge to hear your case.

To me suing your spouse seems something like an insurance company suing a company they insure. Financially it makes no sense because you probably share all your money and all your debt.

This is a privacy and trust issue that would be better handled in marriage counseling.

This only shows how really stupid people really are. It seems more of these people in the last 15-20 years have been coming out from under their rocks trying to pass as mind bearing human beings. I am waiting for another person to sue a fast food place for hot coffee.

JustinFranklin,

I think that one about getting burned with the hot coffee ranks #1 on my list of "Funniest and Most Incredible Things I've Ever Heard". I knew I had heard it right, but yet, I refused to believe it!!! Right behind it is the one about the thief that was suing the people he was caught robbing because they beat him up!!! Unbelievable!!!!

No,

If you give your spouse your password, then you shouldn't be so stupid as to have incriminating emails on there. Its your own damn fault they were able to read it. If you can't trust them don't marry them!

June, I must agree with you there. Like the judge that sued for millions of dollars for a pair of slacks recently.I bet we could list many like that. This should tell you that it is possible to open an educational center, have like 5 classrooms of 200 students, and teach only 'common sense'. You do not touch the hot stove while it is on. It seems some people should of never been weened, or never born.

Hi June, you may call me Justin..ha . I know the coffee incident is so outrageous to some, I think a judge of all people sueing for a pair of pants, what, about $100 if that,he sues for millions. It only shows you why we rank number one in the industrialized countries for sueing. This is why I like to laugh during the day & watch some of these 'judge' shows. These real small claim cases brought to tv.Plantiffs & defendants are so moronic.People without an ounce of common sense. The best part of it is that it takes away from the courts we pay for to save us tax money...Yes,we could make millions.Mail orders like the ones you get in newspapers selling cheap stuff, people make lots of $ doing that. There are millions of suckers out there that will buy anything once.

Again, I say absolutley. She had malicious intent to destroy this mans reputation. And again, I ask...what was her purpose of sending this to his sensitive email list? Furthermore, if you all actually read the law suit you will see why this genlemen had to protect himself, business associates, family members and most importantly, his children from another marriage. READ THE LAW SUIT!!!then state your opinion. Let's not forget, we all have an opinion, right or wrong, but the facts are the facts. She was being devious!!!

Mary44,

You seem pretty upset. Now, I won't apologize for my comments because they are based on the question posted above. If there is a story behind this question, I don't know it and there was no reference to it. Maybe with the whole story in place, the opinions may have been different. Do you want to share the story?? :)

mary44 - " are you still taking comments on this issue?" Mary first for someone that porports to be smart, posting this question twice, not once but twice was somewhat 'simple".I could careless about what, why,or how this came about more so that it did.We are responding to the 'Question' asked, not why the question was asked.Fox25 asked a very 'simple' straight forward question with no reason or background to it.So before you get all huffy & up in arms about it,maybe you should 'direct' your disgust with Fox25 & the person who asked it,and not the people who were given no reason for the question.Any 'MORON' who would not have a passworded system today & the protection on their computer to protect themselves from a host of things, deserves to be ranked up there with the judge & his pants, and the woman with her coffee.
