Ok, so I stand in line to go to a casting call for Deal or No Deal. After the end of my 9 hour wait, not only was I famished but the air quality in the last room we had to wait in was raunchy. It was a steamy 80 degrees and there was no moving air whatsoever. The producer welcomes us all into the final waiting room and tells us we will be sitting down with one judge in a group of ten and explain in 30 seconds what we are all about. This little blurb was to NOT contain why we are all here today. He acknowledged the fact that we are all broke ass Bit*hes. The producer wanted us to smile and let everyone know a few fun facts about ourselves..... We enter the room and at this point, not only am I seconds to passing out but wanting to kill someone cause I needed a smoke. Oh well....the 9 hours of waiting were finally over. This is where it gets ugly.....The first guy begins speaking about why he was here and how he traveled from so far....(New York) meanwhile we are in Boston...........and if he had the money he would bring home his father from a 3rd world country. Ok...mmmmm first mistake...sappy story...hook#1. the second mistake......talked for at least 90 seconds. I actually made a buzzer noise about 58 seconds into it and the man continued to tell his story. ok, so the next question is, explain in one word what makes you happy, the sappy contestant says, "to be here". Oh pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....how many rules can one person break.

My turn...I explain my family, job, dogs, etc etc..i was the only one in my group who made the group laugh. Guess who gets to stay after and talk with the judges...... Yes, you guessed it, the sappy story above that made me completely have an out of body experience. My mother is 61 and needs both hips replaced, she continues to work and not get it done because she can't afford to be off of her feet for that long without making money. This woman deserves to be taken care of after everything she has done for her five children. She is my hero and I won't rest until she's on the pedestal she deserves to be on.....The guy who gets a second look is a fashion designer in New York. Your telling me he can't afford to see his father now???? I am almost disgusted I wasted 9 hours of my life today just to be slapped in the face with a briefcase at the end.
