question.. when Massachusetts officials mess up, like the big dig, bridges and such, and they need money.. what is , always, one of the  things they do? raise tarrif on cigarettes.. and then, when they do, months  later they whine about us getting cigarettes from other states. Mayor of Boston said the  money was needed  because Boston didn't have any surplus, or something like that, I guess when he got 2 huge raises and the police  commisioner position got a hefty raise, I guess they had money then, oh yes, and the  school committe person getting  over 140,000 check. The higher penelties on parking, I agree with, I am in a powerchair and , alot of  the times I go to Boston, at least, 4 cut curbs are blocked by cars and they get mad at me, when I ask them to move so I can get on the sidewalk, so, I am all for that.. Now , back to smokes, I know they cause cancer, and second hand smoke is bad too. I wonder this, if the state trated alcohol like they do cigarettes, we  might have more money in the  budget, and, as a bonus, maybe less people getting hit, disabled, killed because of a drunk driver.. I don't think that will happen because, the powers that be, most of them don't smoke, but I bet you, more then 75% of them drink.. and they are thinking of themselves.. I hear you can't buy cigarettes of the internet, because  kids can use their parents credit cards and  get some, BUT you can order wine of the internet.. can't the  same senerio happen with wine too? i think the real reason is , TAXES, with wine off the  net, Massachusetts gets their tax, but with cigarettes, because of native americans  selling them, they get nothing, so the real truth is MONEY, MONEY, and more money!!!

There are going to be people that say,,"you shouldn't smoke" maybe, but that's up tpo the  smoker, not the  government, rasing cigarettes so high, we can't afford them and there are countless black market sales going on, I am sure, with cigarettes, maybe more then marijuana. With all the deaths, we had by drunk drivers, one might think, taxes with be raised on alcohol as well,, I don't drink, so, it won't phase me, I just don't want to lose another friend, to a drunk driver..
