So what will Arlen Specter come up with now to keep Spygate and his agenda living longer? The senior senator from Pennsylvania has been wasting taxpayers money for nearly four months now all in the name of fairness and justice according to him. But of course we never hear Senator Specter talk about his involvement with the Comcast Corporation and the ongoing battle between Comcast and the NFL over broadcasting some games. And we never hear the Senator talk about his new book and how keeping his name in the news is good publicity for that.

At the NFL owners meetings in Palm Beach over the last few days, it has been interesting to listen to the Patriots go on the offensive in their defense of their organization against Spygate. Patriots owner Bob Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick have both spoken publicly and privately about Spygate for two days. They are admitting guilt in taping opposing coaches signals and reminding everyone they have suffered severe, unprecedented penalties for their actions. They are also challenging Matt Walsh , their former video assistant, to come forward with any evidence against them, that he claims to have. Why are the Patriots being so aggressive? Because, in my opinion, they have no fear of Matt Walsh and his evidence. I believe that they have been assured by the commissioner that he is satisfied with his investigation and that there is practically nothing Matt Walsh can produce that will make the commissioner want to punish the Patriots further.

Why do you think the Patriots are being so aggressive? And what will we be hearing from Senator Specter the next time he speaks. Oh, make no mistake, Senator Specter will be heard from again soon. He's insatiable with this story and he thinks he's some kind of hero seeking out truth and justice with this. I can't wait to see more of our hard earned taxed dollars at work. How about you?

Butchie,

Arlen Spechter is pandering to Steelers fans for votes. His activity will go on until 1. He croaks, 2. the Steelers win a Super Bowl (he'll croak first), or 3. the media ignores him.

I think the Pats are going on the offensive NOW because they want to woo players. They want to appear (as they really are) strong. hey want players to come to their team because of the atmosphere and winning tradition first and money second.

As an aside, Spygate has been "bs" since day one. When I was in college, even on the field we tried to steal signals all the time or note "cues" or "cheats". Yo see it every damned play off the line of scrimmage...a middle linebacker will call a play...adjust the defense by something he picks up. You'll see the quaterback call an audible to change the play frm something he picks up in the defensive alignment or in the signals called. You see Tom Brady, on virtually every play, point into the defense...he's identifying the "mike" for the lineman to pick up.

Shall I go on to baseball and guys on second?

Butch: Your comment about the gaming license was priceless. Big O and Pete did not acknowledge it. Did anyone pick up on your great sense of humor?

Chip,

He's catering to the Eagles fans, but I'm sure the Steelers fan would jump on the bandwagon too.

What he is is PATHETIC! One should always know how to gracefully exit left, he clearly doesn't. Matt Walsh has NOTHING. No one that has proof of what they are piping about is going to be stalling like this and having their name dragged through the mud. They are both PATHETIC and should be forgotten by everyone. The sooner the better. I can't believe anyone took him seriously in the first place. Anyone who start this mess by admitting they are a fan of a team is not doing it for righteous reasons. Comcast must have a serious cash flow going to his bank account. Someone should check.

Steelers won the SB what 3 years ago? Yes Comcast is one of the largest contributors to Arlen Sphincter's campaign. All this he is doing has nothing to do with spying in a football game. It's because of the battle between the cable companies and the NFL. There is no doubt he will be heard from again. And when it is all said and done and he reports on it, it will go something like the Warren Commission report he was in on that said Lee Harvey Oswald was the only one responsibe for the assination of JFK with one bullet being shot.

Got an opinion? I'd love to hear it....I've got a few myself and there's a pretty good chance you don't agree with some of them, so let's hear from you.
