Haven't we heard enough from the senile...er I mean senior Senator from Pennsylvania. So now Arlen Specter wants a new independent investigation into Spygate. He thinks the NFL is biased and wants this to go away. My question is this? What exactly do you want Senator?

Does he need an investigation to prove his beloved Philadelphia Eagles just weren't good enough in 2005 to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl 39? Will an investigation somehow reverse things and help his home state Pittsburgh Steelers win either the 2002 or 2004 AFC Championship games? What is it that you want Senator. I hope it's not money. Do you expect us, taxpayers, to fund this independent "Mitchell like report" into Spygate? If you're asking me for money then here is my answer Senator. Nothing. I will give you nothing and I would appreciate it if you would put up the gaming fee yourself (Godfather reference..in case you didn't know).

Let it go Senator. Let it go. You want to do something for the greater good? See if you can drop gas prices.

Butch

Why is he even involved. When it came to the steroids, fine they are illegal, although it is not right cheating is not illegal. I don't think the government should have any say in what is going on. This should all be left up to the NFL!!

with gas prices going up ten cents a gallon overnight is this important business of our elected officials? seems to me the investigations would be more usefull elsewhere.

How about spending the time and money on investigating how we're going to survive next winter, and put gas in our cars, and food on our tables? What do you suppose the average elderly person on a fixed income would rather hear, after a long and expensive investigation, 1.(oil has dropped $3.00 per gallon), or 2.(The NE Patriots have been fined again)? For what may be the first time in history, let's spend alot of government money wisely and HELP our own people!!!

The "distinguished" Senator from Pennsylvania is sealing his own legacy. Just looking at him on TV, one can tell that he hasn't many more years left to serve his state. Not only that, since I lived in PA before moving to MA, I know his constituients are ashamed as well.

"Senator Spygate" should focus on the real issues of today. Be a true Republican Senator!! Lower our taxes and defend our borders. Stop this madness which can only lead to your complete embarrassment.

Some of my favorite quotes and the reasons why this is officially a laughing matter to me:

The Pennsylvania Republican was unforgiving of his criticism of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, saying that Goodell has made "ridiculous" assertions that wouldn't fly "in kindergarten." The Senator said Goodell was caught in an "apparent conflict of interest" because the NFL doesn't want the public to lose confidence in the league's integrity. (ummmmmmm.....can we say, pot calling the kettle black? This man admitted that Comcast is a contributor to his campaign. We all knew that of course. And wait....who does Comcast have a problem with? Wait......is it....Goddell??? NO!)

(cont.)
Steelers chairman Dan Rooney has called the matter a "non-issue."

"I have a different perspective," Specter said. "I'm elected by 12 million people, and a lot of them are Steeler fans. ... Frankly I'm incensed about what happened with the Steelers, and I'm incensed about the notes being destroyed. I really am." (and you want to talk about objectivity, you #####??)

This man is a joke, a cartoon. My favorite was how Matt Walsh seemed to him like a "good and sincere young man". Shut the hell up! Why was there a Pats lawyer in the room when he was interviewed? Because he was given carte blanche to lie his butt off with no repercussions. THAT'S WHY! Joke, this is officially a joke. The man doesn't provide a shred of evidence for all his insinuations and comments and he gets to walk off like nothing happened. Shut up!

Well it looks like the Senator is a fan of the old witch hunts because thats all he is trying to create. Some people in the media like ESPN are still trying to milk the story...but no new evidence doesnt mean there is some out there somewhere!

I personally started sending letters to a large chunk of the senators in this country. As soon as I read his letters to Goodell and it was obvious that "the integrity of the game" wasnt his concern I had no choice but complain to his constituients. No place for the government to be.

Spector hasn't been a Republican for years. His voting record for democrat causes makes that quite clear. He's a RINO who's time has come and gone. Go away Arlen, retirement is calling. The worst that could happen is the people of Penn. get a democrat with a (D), instead of the democrat with an (R) they have now.

Senator Spectacle has had his eyes and face done one to many times. He's beginning to look like Joan Rivers. His skin is so tight his brain can't breath. Sports and Government just don't mix well.

He should try focusing on important issues like the war in Iraq ,gas prices or why not the failing economy?

Sen. Specter has announced as of April that his cancer has returned. He has Hodgkins Lymphoma at IVB level, which is not a good prognosis. I'm sure he is not up to the challenge of any new investigations.

Got an opinion? I'd love to hear it....I've got a few myself and there's a pretty good chance you don't agree with some of them, so let's hear from you.
