"By setting this goal, we acknowledge there is a problem, and by setting this goal, we commit ourselves to doing something about it" Bush said.

-Fox News quotes

Didn't President Bush always say that Global Warming was a fake? I remember my teachers telling our class that Mr. Bush did not believe in Global Warming but we still had to fight against him. Everyone got into groups of 4 or 5 and we started working on a whole project toward it. But we ran out of time to present with the strike going on so all the hard work was thrown away. After being blind to how true global warming can be, Mr. Bush is now trying to reverse what he said and make everyone respect him or something just because he says he "believes". I was looking around in the International news section on Friday and noticed one on global warming.

In the article it said that he drew representatives from 16 nations to make efforts on using clean energy, or known as green energy. If you live near the Boston area, go visit the Nexus Green Building. It has everything you need to know on green energy. I went there during summer school, and it's very interesting.

Even if you're not a "believer" it can happen sometimes in the future. Maybe you won't be alive, but your generations will be. It may not even happen at all, but we can never be sure. And if we keep using all of our natural resources up, there could be a great war between the two power-fullest countries to use the remainder.

I'm just saying we should prepare for the worst, even if Global Warming might not happen...

One man's miracle is another man's disaster.

Remember the time when it was World War II and everyone wanted the war to stop? Well when Mr. Albert Einstein found the way to create a nuclear bomb out of uranium (was it?) it was a miracle to our current President. To him, it meant the end of the treacherous war. When the bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, thousands of people were either killed or affected some way during the bombing. After the bomb the war was finally over for the US but for Japan, it was a disaster. People who survived gave children birth defects and some had serious burns and injuries. I even sympathize them even though they killed  millions of Chinese and don't take the blame.

In my language arts class, we are about to read the book Dragonwings by Lawrence Yep. But before we get the book we read a little story about an Emporer in 400 B.C from China. One of his servants came up to him and told the Emporer that a miracle occured. The servant had saw a man flying up near the hills. They went down to see him, and the Emporer waved him down. He brought the servant and the man back to the palace. The man who flew had created a flying machine that actually worked. The Emporer decided that he had to kill the man and burn his remains and the kite. And the reason was that even though the creation was beautiful it had to be destroyed because what if an evil person saw the man flying. Then they would find a way to fly over the Great Wall of China and destroy it. Killing one innocent man is a better choice than killing thousands of innocent lives.

I refer to this story because of the moral my group decided to use. There are many things that are miracles to us, but how many of those can not be a disaster to others? My language arts teacher said her moral was "Beware of technology". I believe that this is also important. One day, scientists might create something more powerful than a nuclear bomb. We just hope it won't be used in the wrong way.

This may not relate to anything important, but I thought people might like to know about this and actually think about it.

Just to start off with, thank you for those who waited to read my posts. Ive been busy with homework and life (you know that stuffs in middle school in popularity and such).

The post I was working on was about child abuse or child neglection. The case over the summer about the three-year-old abuse was very frightening. Its like, how could someone actually hurt an innocent child? Treating children like this hurts how they will live their life.

I know how it feels to be teased and hurt emotionally and physically. When people emotionally hurt you, your own self-esteem goes down.  I've been depressed since I'm mainly in the "not-popular" but its okay 'cuz I know I have friends that like me for the way I am. But think about a little girl just about to join kindergarten at elementary school. If they've been told they're stupid or ugly they won't be happy to go to school. School is a wonderful place for kids to learn and grow.In the case of the three year old, she'll be going to school handicapped, and people might think that she could be a weirdo. Child abuse is wrong and shouldn't be happening in this state.

I don't get why it's so hard for companies to jack up their security. These thieves have hit one Circuit City store SEVEN TIMES in one month. I mean, haven't they've had enough? These are my ideas, and some might cost some money...

First of all, the company should have an employer be at the door "greeting" people. If any of the three thieves walk through the doors, we know one person will have  a description of how they look. And so if an act of theft will occur, you can count on one, or more, people to have a picture of the people in their mind.

Secondly, maybe they (the company) should have more employees walking up and down the isles. They can help more customers, bringing good "reviews" and be able to spot any suspicious people. Then they should get others to follow the "suspicious ones"  so those people won't remember their faces. More security will lead to less robberies.

This may not be that important but I have decided to post this.

Mr. Vince Kennedy McMahon was killed when his limousine  blew up on June 18, 2006. Mr. McMahon was not as like able as he wished, yet people still mourned. Officials have been investigating it as of since. Mr. McMahon was the leader of WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment

And just yesterday, police officials found the dead bodies of Chris Benoit, and his family. Chris Benoit was known as the "Rabid Wolverine". One of the highlights in his career was retaining the World Heavy Weight Championship. I was shocked when I saw the report on Fox news at 10.

We know that Mr. McMahon did not blow himself on purpose, but we do know he acted like something was going to happen. Police are investigating Chris Benoit's murder as a homicide. Who could be this killer? Are their two or just one, targeting all the WWE superstars? This may not seem important but it is to me since i am a fan. Will there be another death?

The tragedy in Roxbury involving an 8-year-old and 7-year-old was due to an illegal gun. I send my prayers for their family.

Yet even though it is a sad time, the MA government should put a stop to all this violence. There are many reports of teens using guns. Why hasn't anyone done anything at all? I know the people are trying, but their not trying their hardest. I mean, do we have to wait for another wake-up call just to get the government moving? MA mayors, government officials, and all those in power should try to fix this problem.

Dear Readers:

My mother helped me sign up for this account. I am a sixth grader that goes to Central Middle School in Quincy Massachusetts. The teachers are not being treated fairly here in Quincy. Their strike will continue until the mayor creates a fair contract. I'm just here to share my opinion.
