Where are the Parents??
With all of the recent news about the pregnancy issues in high school I have heard very little discussion concerning the parents responsibilities on this matter. We are a nation that has given up on personal responsibility and common sence, there is no question about it! Even on national television this morning they were only discussing weather the school or the girls are to blame for this unacceptable situation. So where are the parents? They obviously are not as involved with thier children's lives enough. I guess they are expecting the school and the government to raise thier kids for them.
As parents, weather you want to accept it or not, our children are OUR resposibility. How they turn out is on us, period. No one ever told us that it was going to be easy. Most told me that it wouls be very difficult. I know that the word responsibility isn't part of most people's vocabulary these days with all of the flagrant law suits, finger pointing and blame dogging but come on people! We aren't becoming, we now are a LAZY country. Not all of us but a good portion ans enough for the rest of us to show some serious concern.
Welfare cheaters, unemployment, politicians, illegal aliens, DAY CARE AT A HIGH SCHOOL! Come on. We are telling these kids that this is acceptable each and every time we give these seemingly slight allowances. The government truly believes that we need thier assistance because of these idiots that don't care enough to parent thier children, don't care enough to keep a job, don't care enough to show some pride and get off the couch and most importnantly don't care enough about the other people that they effect along the way.
