I know a lot of my neighbors did too.  What I'm referring to is getting out in the yard yesterday to get some work done.  Enjoying the weather... but still being productive too.  Cleaning out the veggie garden... and pruning back in the perrenial garden... even a little raking.

Sunshine and temps in the 60s sure make it more enoyable to me!  My little guys were out there with me too- at 3 years old... my oldest actually LIKES to 'help'.   (Not sure how long that will last!)  My little one (10 months now) is still crawling so the challenge was trying to stop him from eating the leaves.  How different things will be next year!

So did you get out... or did you weigh more on the fun and less on the productivity yesterday?  I sure hope you weren't INSIDE all day- even if you were watching the PATS game!

Another nice one today... enjoy it if you can!
-Cindy

...Had to go to Chuck E. Cheese's in Attleboro for my nephew's birthday party yesterday, but I really hope to get out to do some yard work today, Cindy.
When I took my son out to the bus stop this morning I was LOVIN' it!
Saturday morning--or was it Friday?--I went down to the waterfront in Plymouth and sat next to one of the benches in the little park there next to the Plymouth Rock just after 6:30 to watch the sun rise. It was handily one of the most beautiful sunrise's I've ever seen in my entire life!
There were few others down there, but I noticed that the others were taking photos and video.
This is easily my favorite season...I don't think summer can even hold a candle to it.
In fact, I'm going out just as soon as I'm done typing this post. I'm meeting my wife for coffee, and she's going to take her break (she's at work) outside.
I hope everyone reading this can take a break outdoors today...and not to smoke! Breathe in some autumnal air instead! It won't give you cancer! ;)

It is always nice to have great weather, especally after the cold days last week.

Cindy: I hope you are able to keep this weather for a month or so.

I just wish we could just have a season and run with it ! If it's fall , let it be fall without the interludes of spring ! I want to put away the spring clothes and coats. As it is now , I've got winter coats and gloves , next sping jackets! I'm just saying I would only like it to be one season at a time .

GC... I drive past a Chuck E. Cheese everyday (it's near our daycare)and have yet to go inside. I think I'm afraid! Enjoy your coffee break with your wife.
GordonG... the warmth certainly comes and goes quickly this time of year so you do appreciate it more. A month of this weather likely not in the cards... although we can hope!

One season at a time NO1998? This is New Enlgand! :) Does make it hard to dress though- maybe keep the gloves in the car?

Cindy, your boys sound like my nephews (they're 4 and 6)! They love "helping" out their grandparents yardwork, whether it's raking the leaves or pulling out the weeds (the weeding led to the boys digging a 2-foot ditch in the backyard!) or even shovelling snow (just hope the helping continues when there's a nor'easter!).

Anyways, it was a great day for raking the leaves yesterday, but these quads are paying the price this morning..!

Cindy,

If you ever do go into Chuck E. Cheese, have some headache medicine at the ready. Criminy cripes!

I did enjoy having coffee with my wife, but unfortunately she couldn't go outside. :(
But after her break I went over to the Jenney Grist Mill on Summer St. in Plymouth and watched the turtles swim around beneath the bridge there--there's tons of 'em! There was even a cormorant there today...which was odd. You see cormorants down in the harbor all of the time...the supply of fish must be unplentiful.
There was also a pretty little 'kitty-kat' who came up to me and brushed against me while I was on the little wooden bridge. Then a woman came walking her yellow Lab, and the cat took a few swipes at it and ran off. Cats are so comical.
I think I may wait for my son & stepson to get home before I start the leaf-raking. God knows they could use a chore. They don't really get enough of those! ;)

Hey Cindy! I did get out and mow half the lawn yesterday. Had to stop to visit my weekly school. Love getting out on the tractor with my iPod. It was a bit problematic, however, as the leaves and grass were still a bit wet. I had to keep unjamming the chute.
Still beats shoveling... said as it is snowing in Worcester county this Tuesday night.
