I'm not talking about the elections here... I'm talking about the weather- and as it goes in the musical Bye Bye Birdie...
Gray skies are gonna clear up
Put on a happy face
Wipe of the clouds and cheer up
Put on a happy face

Not around here... these clouds are here to stay for awhile. We may brighten for a few hours later Friday... but that's it for the rest of the week- and there's more rain coming in over the weekend.

This is actually pretty typical stuff for November... it averages one of our cloudiest months of the year. Here is a month by month breakdown of our monthly percentage of possible sunshine for Boston according the National Weather Service.

January 53%
February 56%
March 57%
April 56%
May 58%
June 63%
July 65%
August 65%
September 63%
October 60%
November 50%
December 52%

Have a gray day!
:) Cindy

Thank you, Cindy for saying something...anything that doesn't involve the election. Gray is better than hearing about the blue and red states. :)

Fitzgibbon,
What the hell? Stop being so chipper about rain. When you got something good, bring it, otherwise get back to rippin' Gene for having a crush on Mrs. C from Happy Days.

I'll take the gray days, they may be gloomy but they're better than the alternative - that horrible four letter word - snow.

Cindy (not Maria):

Gray and rain is better than snow and the temperatures seem mild. Now if it were not for those early sunsets I could almost be happy about the weather.

I hope you are prepared for the full moon and Gene and VB.

Ugh Janine! Don't say the 'S' word. I still need to rake my leaves lol.
I can just put a fire in the fireplace and ignore the gray. Also, it is a great time to read a good book. I never read in the summer; feel obligated to be outside and enjoy the sun. Winter is the perfect time to chill out (no pun intended) and play a board game.

Kevin - to think I use to like you! Just kidding of course. I don't even want to think about snow.

All this talk of snow... I'm not ready just yet! Did you know that Election Day on Tuesday- Nov 4th was actually the average date of our first trace of snow in Boston. So we're actually 'late' this year.
BTW lacal I'm OK with the earlier sunsets now... I can coax my little ones to bed earlier when the sun is down before 5pm- that's a good thing when you have to get up at 2am!

We will have to a 'Who likes snow?' poll on the 5pm chat this evening, lol!
Utah is far away, Kevin, and I can't think about that right. Again, let me rake my leaves first!
BTW, it is nice having you on the 5pm chat, Demetrio:) Catch you later!

a lot of the snow was elevation dependent. And all that storm moisture suggests the planet has yet to cool. So much for global cooling!
