NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE PRESENT. NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION WILL DISTRBUTE TOYS TO LOCAL HOSPITALS.

In addition we are accepting gifts for the children of fallen Belleville Police Officer Kenneth Santucci.

Also.....radio station PULSE 87 will be present. Mike Chieffo is trying to out do himeself here. Trying to make this year event the best yet.

Has anyone noticed this. This might be happening to other store sales.

I bought a Cannon A1000 IS digital camera on Nov. 8, 2008. The regualr price then was $199.99. The sale price in the paper that week was $179.99. Now this week.......The Best Buy flier in the sundays paper says regular price is $179.99 and the sale price is $159.99.

I still have my receipt of course.

What is wrong with this picture???

Soooo, do not touch them clocks till saturday night of November 1st.

You will gain one hour of sleep.

Snow....In October. Days before Halloween. Wow! Before 12 noon on tuesday, October 28th. Got snow reported in Warren County, west Morris County, a bite piece of Sussex County, Hunterdon County and parts of Somerset County. A bubble of cold air is slowly moving east and southeast as I can see it. Will the snow make it to Essex County. Will keep an eye on this one all day long.

I do not the temp in northeast section of Essex County is slowly dropping. Currently at 42.3 degrees and breezy outside here. Still raining out. Had lighting and thunder early this tuesday morning.

Will my area see snow forthe first time Shall see when the temp reaches the freezing point.

Snow before Halloween. How strange is that?

I hear the winter of 2008-09 will be pretty cold and white. Again.......Let's see if that come true.That was said in the past few years. Instead...we wind up getting a mild winter.

Good Luck raising money for Multiple Sclerosis! Also have fun in the MS 150 bike tour.

What a HOT MS Greater North Jersey Chapter 100 mile bike tour? The unusaully warmer than normal weather made it tough for a bunch of MS bikers on September 13 and 14, 2008.

To make sense of it all. Newark broke a record high of 92 degrees sunday afternoon (Sept. 14th). Hot and humid. Thanks to Ike and a HIGH Preasure for pumping all that warm air in our direction over the weekend.

I have been cycling in Multiple Sclerosis Greater North Jersey Chapter 100 mile bike tour since 1990 and the MS Mid-Jersey Chapter 170 mile bike tour since 1993.

The worst ride for me was 1993 and 1994. Trying to complete the "Coast the Coast" MS 170 miles was tough. I've gotten better and have been making it to the finish ever since.

Sunday, Sept. 14th, 2008 was the toughest bike ride since 1993 and 1994. Instead of goose bumps in a chilly draft. I was overheated and drained out. Had a MS sag car watch over me. Because I would not give up. Did not want to be picked up and driven to the finish line.  The last 10 miles was the toughest decision I ever made. Stop and go and stop and go. Used up both of my water bottles.  It was so hot and humid. I hate cycling long distance in hot and humid weather. Still....I did not want to stop cycling. It is in my blood. I made it! I had a HUGE smile on my face.

What a challenge? It is all for a great cause. To help raise money for Multiple Sclerosis.

To tell you about me. Most of you have all your senses. Right! I am blind in my right eye, deaf in my right ear, half deaf and a hearing-aid in my left ear. Wear glasses just for my left eye. Leghally blind in the state of New Jersey. Can not drive a car. But still good enough to cycle a bicycle. I was born like this by the way. I do not have MS.

Who saw me and my awesome friend in the New Jersey Section of the New Jersey Star Ledger on July 25, 2008?

I've always wanted to do weather on tv. Maybe I could do weather LIVE on tv just once. Like what Nick Gregory and Mike Woods does.

For those living in New Jersey!

The Multiple Sclerosis Greater North Jersey Chapter office located in Paramus, NJ and Multiple Sclerosis Mid-Jersey Chapter office located in Oakhurst, NJ is merging into one name on October 1, 2008.

The new name will now be Multiple Sclerosis New Jersey Metro Chapter.

The office as far as I know it. Will stay where they are. But now under a new name and working as one BIG family.

Hopefully with these two that is now one. Will have bigger events to raise more money for Multiple Sclerosis. Make the MS Walk more fun. To drag in more walkers. The same for the MS bike tours.

Will soon see when 2009 rolls in.

A report of a tornado in the North Brunswick and New Brunswick area around 4:30pm this afternoon. Still a slight risk as a rotation was reported by a Bloomfield Radar at 5:04pm.

Severe T'storm Warning is now in effect for Essex County.

This storm so far can hack out hail from nickel to large size, heavy rain and strong wind. Cloud to ground lighting.

Be prepared and if you psot a tornado. Go to the lowest area of your home.

HEY EVERYONE,

It been awhile since posting in here. I mostly been reading in here. I noticed no more SoundOff.

ANYWAY . . . . . . . .

Gas prices are around $4 dollars a gallon. Am I right? Well, try this for size. If you are going places in your own town/city. Maybe going to the next town/city bordering your town/city. Why don't you either walk, ride a bicycle, take a bus or take a subway? Depending on where you live for having a subway.

Less gas being used. Less money being used. You get healthy from cycling and walking from point A to point B. Really!  Walking to and fron a subway or bus is also healthy. Plus more money for you to use for whatever you need it for!

Just bring water and or some kind of snack. Wear a bike helmet for cycling a bike. Plus a bike lock. Lock the bike when you go to the store or something like that.

A friend came up with something. How about doing these things. Maybe gas stations will think about lowering gas prices in the near future.

Hope you all made it through the microburst storm tuesday night.

I have not ever seen a storm like that in a very long time. My friend from Nutley said she was out and got caught in the storm. Said it hailed when she was picking up her son. I believe her. Because I heard a lot of clicks from the front window.

I was standing outside watching the distance lighting. Watched as it grew closer and closer. Then the wind slowly picked up. It got strong enough. Where it was pushing me. Then it started to rain. Soon I got inside of my kitchen door. The wind really got bad. The trees was moving one way. Branches and leaves coming off. Lighting all over. Power flicking on and off throughout the storm. I am watching branches flying across. Leaves filling up the fire escape near by.

I finally got out the door to check on a old lady. Power is fully out.

I saw on J******* Street. A top of a tree down on the street. I went with my friend to see what damage in area. She said a fire in Bloomfield. Off of Watchung Ave. A light pole down in the middle on Bloomfield Ave in Nutley. Right near De Vaushey Place. Go up Vaushey Place and you will see a tree on top of a house. Pass that and make a left. You will see a entire tree on the street. Hoover Street is flooded with water. By Brookdale Cemetary.

A lot of trees down. Expect street closing in the area.

It felt like a mini tornado came through. But I doubt it. I think it was more like a micro burst. Straight line winds mostly. Very strong wind.

Will take photos in the morning to post on here. Hope Fox 5 NY will use a few of the photos I take from Belleville and Nutley area.
