A friend recentyl told me they no longer say the Pledge of Alligence in their kids school. Now I know I'm not the only one bothered by this and I certainly don't mean to offend anyone but when is ENOUGH ENOUGH??

This is our country and we just as many rights as any one else. We even have a document that states " ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL" . Well i don't see much equality going on here.  Isn't it enough that we can't say Merry Christmas or Christmas Party in the work place? We have to be politically correct and use terms like Happy Holidays or Holiday Party.

I believe that everyone should be able to worship, celebrate and live life the way they choose. Isn't that why so many want to come here from their homelands? For a better life? A free life?

Well what about us? We were born here and many men and women have sacraficed their lives so that we can continue to live here in freedom.  And many men and women are still sacrificing their lives for this cause.

Well I for one will continue to live with The Pledge of Alligence, In God We Trust and Merry Christmas in my vocabulary. And will be very proud of it.

I mean really what's next?? THE NATIONAL ANTHEM??

So my question is like a song we all know..where is Joe DeMaggio????  I mean is it me or are our athletes taking their good fortune for granted not to mention throwing it away?

Being one of the unfortunate ones who was not blessed with speed to run the relay in the olympics or talented enough to sink a 3 pointer on the parkay floor at the Garden, I enjoy watching these sports and yes admire a few certain players but lately find myself disgusted and turning to the weekly sitcom instead of Monday Night Football.

It's not an easy life I'm sure but it's the one they choose and like any job they should be terminated for not following the rules. In the real world we don't get fined or suspended we get fired.

I feel blessed growing up with such players as Carlton Fisk, Larry Bird, and Bobby Orr to admire and wish their was more like them.

I can only hope for generations to come that our Athletes realize what an impact they can have and be truly greatful for their special talents that we enjoy so much.
