I found this interesting article over at MSN Money site, Customer Service All Of Shame. Guess who was Number one on this list? Yes, you got it.. Sprint.. Yea! *golf clap*.. I'm not surprised.. This kind of BS comes from the top of a company. As I've said before, to correct these problems one needs to start by canning senior management. Take Jiffy Lube, another station (not going to mention name)  caught them red handed fibbing to customers and selling them stuff they don't need.. This is a problem from the top. It appears that mostly the slick suit and tie liars get the important jobs at the top of the companies and start setting the focus toward stock holders and ignoring the customers and employees. Good business plan..

Sprint has a HUGE problem on their hands, not only are customers extremely unhappy, they keep laying off employees and guaranteeing that they'll never be able to hire quality minded people.  Esry walks away with a multi-million dollar deal and leaves the company in shambles.. Good Job Esry, you thief! Sprint has this unethical way of extending your contract another 2 years if you call them for any reason. I'm sure some jerk can explain how "well you gotta read the fine print, or whatever." sure, Sprint you gotta read the fine print here, customers hate you for this and they are quitting you. Good job sprint... losers!

Guess who else was on the list? Comcast? yepper! I can speak from experience. They are not reliable!  My service goes out at least once a month on average... And now when I call the 795-1100 number I get sent to a huge call center in friggin India... Good service there! Who is the jack-wad manager that thought this would be good?  And when the services does go down, the customer service person on the other end doesn't believe you or gives you a standard bs line "we have people working on it" do ya? yea right, I'm sure you do. That is why it takes another 6 hours to get it back up.

I'm done ranting.. The point is this.. The customer is always right.. Yes, I know customers can be mis-informed, or whatever, but the customer is always right.

As a former employee I was a Process Analyst for their customer service, I can tell you that all of management talked about improving customer service but never did anything to act on it. Instead they were more worried about the next bell or whistle they could jam on a cell phone. There was a call reason code tracker that showed what types of calls the call centers were getting and they ignored the issues. The main reasons people called were: dropped calls, lack of service, billing, activating phones. Sprint has a great service when it works. The clarity I have found to be much better than other carriers. I called my dad in KC when I was in Peurto Rico and it sounded like I was across the street. But go 30 feet into a grocery store and you lose service.

I hope they can work things out because it impacts our local economy.

Sprint should win some sort of Award for the Worst Customer Service, I sighned up for Cell service last year, but ended up cancelling within 2 weeks, since phone never actually worked right, and as far as Comcast, They might be the largest provider of Cable TV in the USA, but they are also the worst,
When I lived in Grain Valley, that was all I could get, so I switched to Dishnetwork and got my internet from SBC Global DSL, loved both of them, better prices than the competition.

Customer service? We had our mare serviced one time, is customer service the same thing?

Customer service is just a memory. Comcast needs to wear a mask--their prices are criminal. Existing customers have to subsidize new customer promotional rates--NEVER HAVE UNDERSTOD THAT COMCAST--I dont want to sign up for dish or direct tv due to reception problems during storms, so I will wait for AT&T new service and when its available-goodbye Comcast.

I have never heard a good thing about Sprint, but I've never used them. On the Comcast subject, I live in Independence, cannot get DSL yet (don't understand that) so I am stuck with Comcast and they suck in many ways, but the prices are insane. I dropped to lifeline basic so I could afford the internet, but I may be going back to dial up soon if everything keeps going up...
I understand these companies maintain and improve the internet system, but we taxpayers paid to make it so why does it need to be so high? My internet alone is $42.95 + tax and other charges.

My sister lives in Independence, and she has ATT Yahoo DSL, 14.95 a month,

Snapper, I had Dish in Grain Valley and now Richmond, I havent had any signal problems at all, as long as the dish is aimed perfect, if they get a 92% or better lock when they hang your dish, you wont have any problems,
I have the 4 room system with DVR's and will never go back to cable

My husband worked for IT at Sprint for many years. We had two cell phones, his deal was suppose to be 39.99 a month, plus $10 extra for 2nd phone. We kept getting charged 69.99 with an extra 20 a month. We finally had them shut off, and they still claim we owe them money. After several years, hubby called them back after latest ads and bad press. He told them the problem, and the Customer Service Rep could not understand why he had a problem with his bill. I know what the problem is, they need to stick it to everyone else, so that they can pay for that Danged old useless Sprint Center downtown.

Nobody says you have to use their service. if you are not happy, then change. There's other businesses that would love to have your money.

:just make sure they support american jobs:

I havn't used Sprint in years,

I don't own cable because I watch very little TV... Don't get me started on WALMART! No doubt Sam Walton is turning over in his grave... what a shame.

Used sprint a long time ago and my bill was always about 30.00 more than what it should have been. The customer svc reps could never really explain why this was, so I dropped the svc. Since I had signed a contract they reported me to a collection agency. I will NEVER used sprint again.
ATT yahoo DSL is great--low price 14.95. Before them I had Timewarner who was about 44.00 (what a ripoff). Can't wait until ATT provides cable svc so I can switch.

I do beleive Walmart is the worst!!! The cashiers have attitudes when they can't do their jobs and have to call for help, then it takes forever to get the help (once I waited for 10 whole minutes due to a voided transaction). They have a store full of employees and only about 5 of them on registers with a load of customers waiting. This is how it is for the Bannister (before it closed) and Raytown locations.

I hate Sprint, I've been with them for 9yrs. In the last 2yrs they have went down hill. When I call most of them can't understand me b/c they don't speak English. The last time I called the lady I was talking to was in Canada!!!!
All they care about is $$$$$$$$ money, not their customers.I have 3 lines with them and I'm in a contract, so if I cancel I have to pay 250 dollars, guess what? that's what I'm gonna do. Just to Know that will be the last $250 they will ever get from me makes me happy.

Isn't it amazing that EMBARQ a former local telco division of Sprint just received highest marks from JD Powers... something Sprint never received...

Hate K-mart, never shop there.

I have Time Warner and it is high dollar..do love Roadrunner, but thinking about changing due to price. Is DSL (ATT or otherwise) as good? Need some advice. Thanks

Minni, check out your options.. I can get NOTHING but Roadrunner in my location. After a very large dissatisfaction with Time Warner, I got new phone, but I can't dump the internet service. They have me over a barrel.... and will clearly expand their dominion.
