Every once in a while something sets me off, today it was a statement I heard from a woman commentator on T.V.. It was about the rights of the prisoners at Gitmo. According to this person we should allow them the same rights as we as Americans have. They each should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, they should have a lawyer present at all interviews, they should be credited with time served and they should be allowed to have access to a phone to speak to family members. Excuse me but weren’t these people mostly taken in battle against our troops? Some of them were even part of the Alqeda leadership that mercilessly crashed loaded passenger planes into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.
If they had been captured by their own people doing things against Iraqi buildings and committing mass murder in Iraq or Iran or Afghanistan what would their fate have been? They sure wouldn’t have lawyers and telephones I’ll guaranty you that. We are talking about people who stone women for getting raped. Who will cut some ones hand off for petty theft and who will kill their own daughters for the disgrace of divorce. Yeh, I feel pity for them just like I would a rabid dog, I wouldn’t trust them for a second. These people are not like us, they don’t love anyone but their brethren, their lives are full of hate and they will happily die for the chance to kill the Infidel once again. I don’t understand why anyone in their right mind would give a damn what happens to them. Do you recall the murder of Daniel Pearle or the beheading of our troops when captured? Can you just imagine the torture they went through before they died?
It is beyond my scope of understanding even when I try to remember my Christian upbringing why we should shed tears over these self proclaimed Jihadists who even when they have been released from Gitmo have showed back up on the battle field in Afghanistan. I know the Bible says we should love thine enemies but it also calls for an eye for an eye. I think in this case the eye’s have it.
And that’s my opinion,
