Well if you've been reading my blogs, you already know that I picked David Cook as American Idol's Season 7 winner weeks ago. But not everyone is so convinced.

On today's FOX25 Morning News I had the pleasure of interviewing Eugene Foley. Eugene is a successful music industry agent, consultant and author. He agrees that it's a David that will win – but not the same one. His pick is David Archuleta.

Eugene contends that DA will win because of his marketability in the music industry. I say DA is a one-trick pony and all of his songs sound the same. For me DC has a wider range and therefore, in my humble and non-expert opinion, will appeal to a wider audience and in turn sell more records.

In the end – this is after all the beauty of American Idol. For a few months during the dead of winter we can debate around the watercooler. Before you know it, spring has sprung and America has it's newest singing sensation.
