As I was listening the kids at school discussing whether or not Santa was real, it reminded me of when I was small, and having the same discussions with my friends. The other day, a little girl told me that she saw Santa at her house on Christmas morning. Apparently someone dressed up like santa and came to visit her. She told me how he knew her name and then with stars in her eyes, told me she got to pet him reindeer. I asked, 'did you see them fly?" She paused, then said, 'yes!" I chuckled, at her excitment and belief that she did see them fly in the sky. I remember gazing into the night sky searching for Santa , with my big brother. Steve would wake me up at 2 am, and we'd run to our parents room. They'd tell us to go back to bed. 3am, we were back. Go back to bed, they'd say. 4am, 5 am, Finally at 6, they let us get up. How early did you get up? And did you ever think you saw Santa flying in the sky?

Dramamama,

I would give anything to be back in those days when my biggest worry was whether or not Santa was real. What a beautiful innocence.

Yes, I could have SWORN I saw Santa shrink really small and come into our house under the front door. See, we didn't have a fireplace so he had to use his special powers to shrink himself and come in to leave my toys. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

I would stay up with my eyes wide open as long as I could. Until finally I succumbed to nocturnal bliss. I did however once while my older brother shared a double bed with me. Stay awake long enough to imagine Santa streaking across the sky to my neighbors house.
