Stop messing with my Faith

I was watching V.B. on the news this morning attacking Mitt for being emotional about his faith, and calling him fake. V.B., who are you judge Mitt's emotion's about the LDS church giving the Blacks the priesthood? Every single mormon knows exactly where they were when they heard this news. We all rejoiced. I can tell you the exact spot I was standing at college, which class I was coming from, where I was going, and exactly what I did and how I felt. I called my mom, in tears. This was a milestone in our Faith. It is hard for others to understand unless you believe in divine revelation. Our faith believes in revelation. In Christ's time, they weren't allowed to take the gospel to the Gentiles. Then it changed. The Lord has always done things in His own way, giving His Gospel to certain groups of people. He has eternal perspective, that men are not blessed with, and we do not know the reasons. Of course, our belief centers around our belief in a Prophet and him receiving revelation from God. The fastest growth in our church right now, is in Africa. When you insult one mormon, you insult us all. We usually ignore comments about us, as we get them all the time, but I had to speak up on this one.

If people worried only about their own faith rather than what others (especially those who don't hold the same beliefs) think about them I believe we would all be better off. If you look back through history there have been millions of people killed in the name of someone's God. I am labeled a Catholic because I was born to Catholic parents who taught me their beliefs. Now that I am old enough to form my own beliefs I no longer carry that label. That does not mean that I think badly of people who identify themselves as Catholic. There are many beliefs throughout the world, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddists, Mormans and many more. I believe that they are all valid and deserve to be respected even if one doesn't follow the same belief.

Well said, Dramamama. Each of us as individuals have "epiphanies" moments of great understanding and great growth. Each of us have watershed moments where we experiencing life changing events. It is no different with groups of people....

What you saw was a man who is a religious intolerant. It has no place in society, and certainly no place on a responsible news station in a "major market". Bh Douglas Goudie and Fox25 should be ashamed of themselves.

If anyone has any character there, they will offer an apology.

Dramamama, It is sad that peaople make judments of others. They take the freedom of religion act,And maniplulate it to fit thair own belifes or disbelifes.
BV Is a commentator who has his own way of interpeting what he
thinks, or his opinion,is what it
is. He has as much right to voice
them. Wheather it offends you or I, or anyone. That is his right.
Freedom of speech is law. It is
everyone's right in this country.
If you disagree with his comment
about Mit's fake cring, ok. But
to say he is attacking your religon, You are no better than he.I do not belive your way of
revelation, But that is not for
me to judge. So I just except it.
You would be wise to not cry over what BV sayes, Your Momon
Religon will remain on earth. I
don't think BV can change that.
You however can chuse to except
him for what he is.
Who is the wiser?

Chip, Who are you to judge who
should or should not be in society! You should be ashamed,
It is that type of mentality that
Makes peaople turn thair backs
on religion! You have no right!
If anyone needs to apoligise,it
is you Chip. BV is part of Foxes
news crew,Not a sciocial outcast.
You on the other hand are,In my
opinyon with your comment.You do
not have any caracter! Except bad.

Wildapple,
Chip is a good guy, and I think basically BV is a good guy also, but makes judgement calls on things he might not know much about--like religion.

backward. I 'm not saing Chip,
or VB are bad guy's. We all have our crosses to bear. I'm tring to
help you Dramamama To use your faith to help the nonbeliver, Ok?

Is to step outside your Faith.
I am a Christian...That is it.
My belief.. My choice, No one
can change that. It does not mean ,I can beat or force some
one else into my belief. I can
however leed a lost soal to sal

face sooner or later.. OK? If
your faith is true and strong,No
one pearson can change that.
Only God has that right to judge,

he belives or not. You my Christan friend have to accept it.......Praey for him. Forgive
him.That is what you should do..
