Getting Ready for Ted

Ted Kennedy is keeping out of sight while he prepares to appear tonight - I'm told doctors are so worried about infection they don't want him pressing the flesh or being around others very long.

We did get exclusive footage of Caroline Kennedy leaving her hotel but she wouldn't talk to us. So we'll have to wait to see what happens, but Ted's appearance could go down as one of the most memorable convention moments ever - at least in my lifetime.

I plan to be there to catch the emotion - hope you'll be watching, too.

Do you think it's wise for Sen. Kennedy to appear or do you think he should have played it safe with his health and stayed home?

I think a team of wild horses could not keep Ted away. I am excited to him being there. I know there are many different opinions on Ted. I have always liked him and will be watching.

Were I him, I'd be there....what's a few weeks/months anyway...

And I Thank God I'm NOT him....not because of cancer but because of everything that preceded it.

YEAH, I ADMIRE HIM FOR THE CHAPPAQUIDDICK INCIDENT. IT TOOK A LOT OF GUTS TO WALK AWAY FROM MARY JOE KOPECKNE. HE WOULDN'T MISS THIS FOR THE WORLD AS HE IS AN UNABASHED GLORY HOUND WHO COULD NEVER MEASURE UP TO JFK. I KNEW HIM PERSONALLY AS WELL AS BARNEY FRANK. I DESPISE THME BOTH.

Whether or not it's "wise" for Kennedy to appear, I would expect no less of him. Regardless of one's feelings toward Kennedy or his policies (most of which I think have done massive damage to Massachusetts), the fact that he has made a life's work of being a public servant is undeniable. He's been a beacon of the Democratic Party for decades...given that this is probably his last DNC, he should certainly be there. And while I can't presume to know the man's mind, I can't imagine he'd rather be anywhere else.

SADLY I MUST DISAGREE WITH VALINTYNE WHICH IS USUALLY THE "KISS OF DEATH" ON THESE BLOGS. HOWEVER, KENNEDY HAS MADE A CAREER OF LOOKING OUT FOR TEDDY KENNEDY. HE IS SPOILED, RICH BOY WHO NEVER GREW UP AND DESTROY EVERYTHING IN HIS PATH. I AGREE THAT HE HAS DONE MASSIVE DAMAGE TO MASS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PURSUE HIS BROTHERS STAR-CROSSED PATH AND NEVER REALIZING THAT GOAL. AS FOR HIS LIFE'S WORK, HE NEVER HAD TO WORK. HE NEVER HAD TO WORK LIKE THE COMMON MAN. HE WAS BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON AND USED IT TO DIG HIS WAY OUT OF CHAPPAQUIDDICK. PUBLIC SERVANT? MORE LIKE A SELF-SERVANT. WHEN HISTORY WRITES THE FINAL CHAPTER OF THE KENNEDY FAMILY IT WILL NOT BE KIND. IF YOU BUY THE "HYPE" THAT THEY ARE THE FIRST FAMILY OF AMERICA THEN I PITY AMERICA. I was impressed, he looked good and I will bet he is around in January. Caroline's intro was very nice.

hes a bubble headed idiot now just as hes always been. The picture on the front page of the globe he looked like a cackling beavis from beavis and butthead.
Hes a moron. IN fact Im thinking he may already be dead and thats his body double.
Not hard to fathom since they kept Rose Kennedy on ice for 18 months before they told anyone that she was dead
