Did you listen to Hillary Clinton's speech at the DNC? Do you think she was convincing enough in getting delegates to back Obama? Or is she secretly hoping he'll lose?
She sounded pretty convincing to me. One delegate was yelling outside the arena, "She released me!" I thought she was being sarcastic but no, she was serious.
What do you think?

Hillary Clinton has never told the truth in her adult life, why would you expect her to start now?

No! She did what she had to do. She is a Democrat, and, the way the World situation is today we need to Elect A Democrat into Office!
Do we really need 4 more years of the mess Bush put this country in

And as we in Massachusetts "know", msjozy, all Democrats are good....(read the sarcasm...)

Unless I missed it, not once did Hillary mention WHY Barack Obama should be president. What I took from her speech was that her supporters should vote for him because she HAS to. No mention of his qualifications, none of his ideas, nothing. I think she was positioning herself for 2012 after two pretty much wasted days of the convention.

And Joe - I'd like your opinion on this. Do you think part of the negotiations to free her delegates where a promise from Obama to appoint Bill to the Supreme Court if elected?

I can't be the only one who was thinking what a huge mistake Obama made by not picking Hillary as a running mate. If he had this thing would be over because there would be a unified Democratic party. He didn't so there isn't. Hillary did nothing but serve her own agenda. The thing is, though, she sounded good in doing so. She would have been a great V.P. candidate. I'm just glad I'm not a democrat.

All I heard was "write my name in!" She's not backing him. It was all about me me me. "I ran because".

Joe,
in all honesty, do you or any of the other blogger's actually think that things are going to "CHANGE" for the better no matter who gets in?

Of course she didn't mean it. She said what she had to say to keep her dreams of running in 2012 alive. Everyone knows she is praying Gumpa McCain and his band of misfits can steal another 4 yrs so they further disgrace this nation. Then in comes Hillary on her white horse to save us all. She is, and always will be, only concerned about herself and her ego. With all her pompousness, pandering, phony laughs and lying I'm shocked she doesn't return to her roots and rejoin the Republicans. She is after all the female version of Mitty (just more manlier). Ahh that's right women don't run for President in the GOP. I guess we're stuck with her then.

All I got from last night at the DNC is McCain bashing and empty promises as usual.

Michelle is not good at acting like she has no problem with Hillary. Michelle's dislike for Hill's is written all over her face.

Slick Willy looked like he had a couple of snifters before the gig. He was probably out at the Trojan tent trolling for interns.

All in all, it was all just a big show. Nothing more.

I think this is the epitome of hipocricy...Hillary was so embarrased by "getting caught" in her tall tales...I refuse to believe she wants Obama to win...and the blogger above is so right...Michelle Obama hates her guts! it is written all over her non-verbal communication face...If looks could kill, Hillary would have been dead!
also does anyone really think our country will be better off with one or the other? Sorry folks...we are in such a mess NO ONE will help this country but a business man...since all politicians are phonies and tell people what they want to hear...it has been happening for many years...Hillary is rooting for the "O" to lose his A$$ in this election...it's called payback!

The problem with both of the candidates is I hardly ever hear them talk about the serious illegal immigration problem in this country. It has gotten so out of control and it is tearing this country down in many, many ways. We need to get rid of sancuary cities and politicians like Deval Patrick. I think he made me thie sickest last night. At the DNC it's all about them. I don't believe any thing that comes out of there mouths. The DNC is a night full of empty promises. It's like they're just sugar coating begging. Please vote for the Dem's!!

You can never trust or believe a Clinton. The Dems are acting like the election is in the bag for them. Maybe when they loose this time they will finally give up!

Mark
I am sure there was some kind of "promise" made to Hillary Clinton to free her delegtes. The negotiations between her campaign and Obama's were longer than the Paris Peace Talks, I believe

I wonder how many of you even vote? It is so easy to be a nay sayer. Take the high road and DO something for your country besides complain.

What do you bet there's a nice position somewhere in Obama's administration (makes my skin crawl to even say that) for her "cooperation"?

I agree with SirB - ALL I ever see from the Democratic party, in this sorry state (MA) and nationwide, is slanderous harangues, conspiracy theories and attack ads. And then we have to sit there and listen to the Dems whine about Republican attack ads. PUH-LEEZE!!

For the talking heads to get out there and say "what a great speech" and "she did what she had to do" "and we are now united", give me a break!

She read the words that some speech writer wrote for her and it comes off as some great gesture.

If someone puts there OWN words on paper and then reads them 'nother story.

Bill (as yesterdays's X and Y speech showed) will do everything AFTER his forced speech tonight to get the "chosen one" UNELECTED so the wholly more qualified Hillary can run again in 2012 and I am no fan of her's, but she forgot more than Obambi knows at this point.

Sorry Joe, if McCain picks Romney and wins he will step down before the end of his term due to ill health and President Romney will be against Hillary in 2012 and may the best candidate win.

Or will you and the Herald be hiding out in his bushes again looking for illegals cutting his grass?

I vote and I help out my candidates that I respect like Kerry Healey who WARNED this state about this fraud Deval Ptarick, but when she asked "HOW IS HE GOING TO PAY FOR THESE FALSE PROMISES, such as property tax RELIEF".

The parallels between Healey and Hillary, Deval and Obama are scaringly the same considering the press went out of there way to CHAMPION both of the flavor of the month MALE FRAUDS who were "black" while hammering the more qualified "white" women.

The country will not be fooled like SOME of us were and the polls are starting to show it.

NO way, No how, NOBAMA.
