It's been a long drought but as we witnessed all season long...the Celtics are finally relevant again in this town. With the horrible taste of the Super Bowl and the Sox recent five-game skid maybe it's time for everyone to make Mike Bibby happy and hop on the Celts bandwagon.

Ok, so this weekend the C's dropped Game 3 in Atlanta (yes the same Hawks who finished 8 games under .500), but in my opinion this game will serve as a learning experience for this team as they move forward. My biggest complaint was the lack of touches for Garnett in the 4th quarter. When he entered the game (11 minutes remaining) the C's were still in it and he already had 28 points. KG can take over a game offensively when he's given the chance and in my opinion the C's shied away from him in the 4th quarter which was a huge mistake.

My prediction is that the Celts will blowout the Hawks in Games 4 and 5 and our man Gino will dance his way into Round 2 where it looks like the defending Eastern Conference champions, Cleveland Cavaliers, will be waiting.

Some quick hit thoughts:

-Doc is still a terrible coach: Stick with a rotation, man, it's been close to 90 games! Why is P.J. Brown playing at all? He's a combination of terrible, useless and awful (a combination that used to be referred to as 'The Scalabrine Troika')

-Where was Eddie House in Game 3? If you're going to settle for horrible jump shots (Sam Cassell) why not use your purest shooter? Plus he has the ultimate 'your sister' trash talk to give to Mike Bibby.

-KG, if you're dominating inside, continue to do so, stop shooting from just inside the arc.

-Big Baby was awesome. Only positive from Game 3.

-Ray Allen goes invisible for weeks at a time and that has to stop.

Go C's

Wait...are you trying to say that Doc shouldn't win coach of the year now that he finally has good players on his team?!?!?

Why are Mike Bibby and Al Horford running their mouths? Do they not realize they were 8 games under .500?

that game was just pure emotion. Josh smith came out on a mission to take over, he was bolting downcourt on every rebound, just waiting to cherry pick a fast break dunk. I'm not surprised the c's lost 1 game in this series, I am surprised at how BLEEP they looked. Ray Allen was just awful. Both he and Cassell took countless "what the hell are they thinking" jumpers way too early in the shot clock. That being said, the c's were down what 8, with a chance to cut it to 5, (or was it 10, with a chance to cut it to 7?) when they got completely jobbed on that phantom shot clock violation. It was just one possession, but it completley killed their momemntum. Right there, I knew the game was over.

I agree, they're coming back tonight and completely destroying this hawks team, especially after that Horford fiasco at the end of the game (even tho he looks like a legit player who's gonna be nasty for years to come, he's not there yet. no business running your mouth when your down 2-1...(are you listening D-Shawn Stevenson?)

Horford should be the rookie of the year this season but I agree with ou Wapotheker he needs to know his place and keep his mouth shut. As for the Bullets, err, Wizards...man Agent 0 and D-Shawn-I-statutorily-raped-a-girl-Stevenson need to stop talking from now on...especially since they were nothing more than a mediocre team.

Clemens is a fan of "the statutory" as well apparently...but at least he never did the juice...

I think you're "misremembering" these facts....

I'm just starting to learn Basketball now. I won't call myself a 'fan' because that would make me a bandwagoner (something I hate with all I have). However, since my husband insists on watching nothing but Basketball, I have no choice but to learn and maybe in the future I can have some positive input as a FAN.

Question: How does one get away with head-butting and while I'm at it, if I'm anyone but an Atlanta Hawk playing in Atlanta, who do I have to kill to be sent to the free throw line?

Thanks.

Ugh...I'm speechless right now after last night's game. Even if we got to the line pretty sure we would've missed.
