What is going on with the Sox and the C's? The Sox have lost 6 of their last 8 games on the road and the C's well umm yeah I think we all know what's going on there.

Luckily the Sox return home to open up interleague play against an under-.500 Brewers squad but the Celtics are facing a much tougher challenge. The C's take a 3-2 series lead into Cleveland for Game 6. The Celts owned the regular season's best road record and the best overall record to boot, but as we've seen teams are struggling to figure out how to win on the road in the playoffs.

What do you think about this? I personally think it's a crutch for a lot of these teams and that they're just not mentally tough enough to pull it off. I would think players would enjoy winning on the road more. The thrill of shutting up another team's home crowd the way Reggie Miller used to enjoy draining 3's in Spike Lee's face. The Celtics are obviously facing some bigger issues than just being on the road, like, oh I don't know, the fact that Ray Allen all of a sudden looks like he's ready for a nice game of shuffle board on a retirement cruise.

So what do you think...do the C's have it in them to pull it off tonight or will the Garden be rocking on Sunday for Game 7 while the Pistons kick up their feet and enjoy another day off?

Josh, When I go to the game (Red Sox) on Sunday I will have to sit them down and have a good talk with them. My biggest surprise was the other night when Papelbon didn't get the save. Oh well I guess that's what they call being Human.....

Josh,

It's still too early to be too concerned about the Sox. They'll pull through.

The Celtics....well....that's a different story. I think I may have some answers for you (LOL) or at the very least, a REALLY FUNNY article. Check this out, you are going to love it!!! http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons

I've already posted that the Celtic's win tonight. I think the last game was a turning point and tonight should not be a problem.

I saw Reggie Miller play many times and I think I would rather hang with Lee. One game at The Garden he pushed Bird. Kevin came from nowhere and put Miller to the ground.

Yeah I know what you mean about Paps he blew back to back saves and I'm not worried just found it odd that both teams all of a sudden can't buy a win on the road and are even blowing leads. June thanks for the Simmons article...while I'm not a big Simmons fans I can't disagree w/ a lot of his Doc bashing since Doc is coming up with some bizarre rotations at the wrong time. TheEliteOne while I'm not a Reggie Miller fan per se I was just using it as an example of a player who absolutely thrived in that type of a situation. I hope you're right about tonight I'd love to be at Game 1 on Sunday instead of a Game 7. Plus they have a lot to prove tonight to themselves more than anyone else.

Go C's!

I knew you weren't a fan of Miller. Are there any in Boston? I did like the way he wood shoot but the whining would never stop.

Ok, to say that I am "incensed" would be a HUGE understatement right now. When I am coherent again, I'll post again.

WOW, was I wrong about last night. I have been very careful not to get emotional about this team. Game 5 hooked me and last night destroyed me. I don't mind 7 games when they are played like Celtics/Sixers of past. This was torture last night.

I know I know...I've got another post coming this morning. This has been so frustrating. At least the Super Bowl was one game where anything can happen and that end result is it, for the C's this is now 13 games long.
