Ok, so ESPN's Jerry Crasnick has already started in on the Sox and pitchers and catchers haven't even reported to spring training yet!  He's already started the discussion on whether or not the Boston Red Sox can be a future dynasty after their 2 World Series wins.  In his article, he's made the case for it and the case against it with his verdict being that the Sox won't do it because the Patriots couldn't.  I'm sorry, I don't understand how apples and oranges have anything in common except for the fact that they are both fruits.  Can we enjoy the success of the Sox for a while without the infamous "sports analyst" whom I refer to as 'sports analyst NOT' (although I prefer Chip's name for them), bringing them down already or setting HUGE expectations that no one is really expecting thus creating the hate that only they know how to generate?  Can they just point their attention somewhere else for a while?

Baseball season hasn't even started yet and they are already gearing up to tear them down.  Unbelievable!

June, those who can't teach. And those who REALLY can't pick apart those who can. Take a deep breath and 86 the ESPN. You'll feel a lot better that way. And since the Pats and the Sox are both Boston teams, it gives these fools extra leverage to wedge their crowbar into the scene. (I'm just waiting until someone tries to tie Roger Clemens back into the Boston sports scene, once they're done cannibalizing the whole "spygate" BLEEP.)

You're right Xantun. I'll try to stay away from ESPN from now on. I've lost so much respect. Sad.

June, as I've said before, I'm not a sports fan. But I've seen enough of the scene to know that the Boston faithful have had more than their fair share of suffering while supporting the hometown teams. ESPN is just hoping to be ready with the salt if you folks are dealt another blow. (It's the whole sensationalist culture, ya know.) So the simple thing is to just avoid them. If their ratings go down enough, maybe they'll stick to the facts and not try to be a tabloid.

That's exactly what they've become, Xantun, tabloid. I turned to Foxsports, and they are just as bad, maybe worse. We can't even read the newspapers, because they do their best to throw dirt too! It's like a conspiracy, LOL!

I think a lot of it has to do with simple jealousy. For ages, the Boston teams have sucked. Sure, there's been times where one or two teams have shone, but right now, all of Boston's major teams (And no, I don't mean soccer. I don't think that's a major sport in this country, no matter WHAT David Beckham does.) are really good. People were too busy feeling sorry for Boston fans when the teams tanked to throw mud, but now that the teams aren't tanking, it's a case of sour grapes. And in our current culture of tabloids being the last word, in comes the sensationalist BLEEP.
