Well, I'm back.
But that does NOT mean the stupid blogs about Comic-Con are at an end! I just downloaded a whole mess of photos out of my digital camera, and figured I'd share.
First up, Friday night's Eisner Awards ceremony. You can see the complete list of Eisner winners here, and they had a staff photographer taking photos of all the winners as they exited the dais. Here are some more casual pics from the evening.
Ellen Forney (cartoonist of I Love Led Zeppelin) has a Brtiney/Madonna moment with Pop Candy's Whitney Matheson.
Ed Brubaker with his two Eisner awards.
Brian Posehn, a presenter at the show. He apparently speaks fluent Klingon.
Steve Leialoha & Mark Buckingham, who won for Fables.
Bill Willingham, writer of the aforementioned Fables. (Fables, traditionally, gets a lot of Eisner love.)
Neil Gaiman (Sandman, among other things) and DC Editor Karen Berger.
Gilbert Hernandez of Love and Rockets, my favorite comic book of all time.
Four-Fifths of the judging committee. From left to right: James Sime, Chris Reilly, Robin Brenner (Massachusetts represent!),and Whitney Matheson.
Jeph Loeb and Ed Brubaker.
Jane Wiedlin (rock goddess and wearer of pro-wrestling belts) and Bongo Comics' Bill Morrison (the evening's emcee)
Paul Pope wins best limited series for Batman: Year 100.
And finally, Tom Lennon of The State and the upcoming film Balls of Fury. Chatted briefly with him about the time The State performed at my college, an evening he recounted in vivid detail. Mind like a steel trap!

More photos coming soon.
