Hi Fellow Bloggers--
Happy Friday! What a morning Gene, Cindy, VB and I had! We were Zip Trippin' in Franklin. What a beautiful town and what wonderful people! I'm not sure how many of you came out..but it was great to meet each and every one of you.
Besides meeting all the great people, zip trips are great because we learn so much about the towns we're visiting. For example, Franklin is home to the nation's first loaning library. Ben Franklin donated books and then lent them out to residents. Those books are still in the old Franklin library.
Franklin is also home to one of the state's best chocolate factories, Green Mountain Chocolates. They brought out lots of samples. (not so good for my waist line but boy did I enjoy those chocolate covered chips!)
VB did zip trip trivia with our own Bob Ward. Bobby, as they call him in Franklin, was born and raised in town. He did well. Missed a few but clearly knew his Franklin facts. Many thanks to Bob for getting out of bed and coming down.
Next week, we're off to Marlboro...I'm sure the folks will be just as nice..lets hope the weather is too!
