I've had enough of the bodybuilding FORMER firefighter. I understood why the media covered the Albert Arroyo story up until ... now. After all, this guy was taking full disability benefits from the fire department and appearing in body building contests. We were all amazed by the video and laughed every time we heard the word "disabled."

The fire department's reaction, as well as comments made by the firefighters union, were all newsworthy and may have an impact on future department dealings. I was very interested in the hearings to determine whether Arroyo would be allowed to continue on disability or be fired from the department. And everyone looked forward to hearing his side of the story. (which by the way, did not sway my feelings about him one bit.)

NOW, GO AWAY! The guy is sticking to his story and the department has fired him. Really, as far as the media is concerned, this story is complete. Unless Mr. Arroyo is reinstated for some reason, this should be the end of the road for the bodybuilder and the media. ALL DONE, ALL SHE WROTE, GOODBYE!

Kim: I was very impressed you knew the bar weighed 45 pounds. I have looked at his legs and they are better than I originally thought.

He has to be squatting a minimum of 225 to get his legs cut this way. In addition there are several hours of leg curls and extensions each week.

He is a clown and a crook.

Kim, Not only is the story not over, but he is going to win his case. This is a prediction and not what I would do. His lawyer will claim mental anguish for the media dragging him through the mud. They will get expert witnesses to show what he was doing was to improve his back. He probaly will have a judge decide his case and be awarded his job back with back pay and interest. Again, this is not what I might do, but a court. I've seen it done in worse cases. Bet you five bucks he wins....

I have to agree with fenway...it is almost too predictable how this will end.

....Do you know something from the newsroom we don't know Kim? Something about "If he gets reinstated."....Geez I hope not. He won't give up on this.
Anyway if we get tired of hearing about his case and others you guys must go crazy....
Well talk to you later. One more thing, how did you know the weight of the bar??? Were you a tomboy? kidding bye

The only people in his defense are other fire fighters who were his gym buddies.

I have to think the people who fired him, discussed this with the union prior to doing so. I would think one hand washes the other. With such an obvious case of deception, the union will back off and collect their favor another time.

Here’s the catch, Mr. Arroyo can’t seem to get a doctor to sign anything that states he’s completely disabled. He won’t even answer any questions about his disability. Every time I hear this guy’s girlie man voice I have to laugh. He says it’s not fair and it’s hard what he’s going through, what a joke. What he means is it’s not fair that he got caught and it’s not fair that he’s not getting a check any more. Is this guy serious about playing up to the public for sympathy? WHAT AN IDIOT. It’s over get a job!!!!!!

Yeah, I would say I am appalled that his lawyer tried to use the excuse "just because he has this body, no one actually can PROVE it is from lifting weights", but this is Massachusetts, BS attitudes like that is PAR FOR THE COURSE here!

That is yet another reason I oppose the majority of unions - anyplace else and this guy would have been told "don't let the door hit you in the glutius maximus on the way out...."

Liberal judges are running rampant in this state. He'll be fine.

Um, yeah. Arroyo needs to shut up and move out of state...Enough whining on his part, especially since HE is the person who uploaded the video that hung himself in the first place. But, unfortunately, I think Fenway's right on this one. (And no, Dave, I'm not taking your bet. I need to save my money!)

He's not winnin' this one....no physician would write him the letter he'd need. Their licenses are too dear to them.

Ok..last blog on this and I am done. Most likely, in order to compete in this show, he had to sign a waiver, stating he was in great physical condition. The hint of a back problem, he is out of the show.

The paper trail always leads to the truth.

I agree a bad apple. Get him off the news and don't let him work for any town anymore. Try to fool hard working people out of hard earned money double dipping is just wrong..
