Alright Mr. Political Editor, Mr. Battenfeld, Mr. Rub my face in my bad call.

I'm a woman of my word.  I was convinced until the bitter end Mitt Romney was going to be the choice.  I was WRONG.  So, you call it.  You name it (even though you didn't name Ms. Palin :) )

I'll wear a shirt that says you were right on television.  I'll run a road race.  I will shout it from the top of our studios with camera's on me.  What's it going to be Mr. Battenfeld?

Maria,
just get a sign, and on one side of the sign have it say "okay joe won, I lost, I'm over it"
and on the other side of the sign ,when joe's not looking turn that around so it says
"I DIDN'T REALLY LOOSE, I'M JUST BOOSTING JOE'S SELF ESTEEM"

Dear Maria,
Sorry to interrupt your vacation. Thank you for acknowledging you were wrong. Some have pointed out that I didn't call the VP pick either, which is true. But the question was, will Mitt be the pick? Your answer: Yes. My answer: No!
I will be taking time over the next few days to carefully consider what the bet payoff should be.
Until then, wishing you were here in lovely Mineapolis. You could have done a standup tossing your hat in the air.

Maria, I think you could wear a shirt on air that says that Joe was right, and on the back it should say, but Maria will always be #1!!!!!! Maybe you could make him some greek cookies or something as a treat. After all, he is on the thin side and could use some bulking up!!! Joe, I think you're great too!!!!

You're still trying to claim victory Joe? Well then please refer back to the 3 archived posts from this board listed below and, in particular, to the quotes from you I have capitalized. Beaudet's investigative skills have got nothing on mine! You backtracking on your pledge Joe? Though I was wrong in my response to your blog about you winning this bet. You didn't pick Sanford the other guy did and you did have Pawlenty who made the short list.

For starters what kind of bet is this? You get two choices (one of which has absolutely NO CHANCE of being on the ticket) and Joe gets EVERYONE else?? Nice odds Joe. I think he should have to at least throw out 2 names he thinks will get the VP nod. MN Governor Tim Pawlenty has his name pop up a decent amount as does FL Gov Crist and Gov. Mark Sanford is possible. Pick a few Joe. Impress Maria and the rest of us with your political prowess.

Maria, now you want to change the bet because you realize you will lose? That's not exactly sporting. However, I'll cut you a break. When Romney and Huckabee don't end up on the ticket, you still lose. But I WON'T WIN UNLESS I PICK THE RIGHT RUNNING MATE. So I'll say Pawlenty of Minnesota and Gov. Sonny Perdue of Georgia.
IF IT'S NOT ONE OF THEM, THE BET'S A DRAW, even though technically, you still lose.

Once again dundermuffin has added wisdom to these blogs. Joe clearly said he won't win either if he didn't pick the VP. It's a push.
