Good Fortune!

I know I'm not going to change the world with this next blog, but here goes... I just ate chinese food for dinner at my desk, opened my fortune and this is what it said.  "You will be successful someday"  I saved it right away and it made me smile. And then thought, why do I save these things?   I have one taped to my computer that says "fall seven times; get up eight"  I do try to live those very words, that grace a tiny sliver of paper everyday.  So do you do the same thing?  Fortune cookies, maybe a horoscope?   Or do you think they're just a waste of time?

Hi Maria,

I don't know how true they are, but I did play the numbers inside the cookie and won 100.00 once. I doread my horoscope for laughs. I don't put to much faith in either one, but If nothing else they're amusing.

In your case however your fortune cookie was spot on, congratulations and continued success in the future. Good Luck!!!

Hey Maria!
Love this blog! I think anything that gives you hope, encouragement, motivation is definately not a waste of time! I actually love reading my horoscope. Susan Miller's website is really accurate, you should check it out! But at the end of the day, I think when I tuck my kids into bed (as I just did), they are my hope, encouragement and motiviation .. but the other stuff is fun too! :) Smiley....... PS The Walk is Coming up Soon .. When will the ads be running? PSS Im going on NBCs Deal or NO Deal ...i'll be filming next week in LA .. now that's some motiviation huh? lol.... Wish me luck!

Hi Maria.

I believe that whatever reminds you of good thoughs is worth having close to you. Not only that, but sometimes, we may not be having a good day, and somehow, those few words remind us of important things in our lives. I love fortune cookies! :o)

Hi Maria. Don't you realize you are already highly successful!!!!!!!! You are the best at what you do!!!!!! I too save fortune cookie messages. I find them motivating, and if nothing else they make me smile, as do you every day!!!!! I wish you the very best in all aspects of your life!!!!

Hi Maria,

I have saved a few horoscopes in the past, including one on my birthday that I posted on my work bulletin board as inspiration.
As far as fortune cookies...I just like the way they taste. :)

I do my best to live by Proverbs 3:5 (KJV). It makes fortune cookies seem like...well what they are; just fun to read, but not exactly rife with truth and wisdom for life.

no sense playing those numbers now,
you let it out on the board for everyone to see,
including THE PEOPLE AT LOTTERY HEADQUARTERS.
What you should have done is sent everyone the numbers via e-mail then noone would have known.

What I've learned is the restaurant knows which fortunes are in which cookies. I kept receiving cookies with messages relating to my life. At first, I thought "oh, just a coincidence" however, one time is a coincidence, twice is another coincidence, three times? Something is going on. Luckily they're friendly messages like "use your charm wisely" :-) This is also a nasty little way to tell someone they're not wanted in their restaurant. lol

I like reading them to see if they come true, but I wouldn't plan my life around them. You're must have been from an old cookie, Maria; how much more sucessful can you be? you have beauty, brains, a beautiful family and a good job and thousands of people admiring you. What's left?

Maria

I like reading my fortunes. Some I dont really think twice of but other ones like "You can undertake and complete anything" and things like "Go for it" inspire me. Also I take words that my coaches or great teachers have said to me, there words always mean a lot.
