Finally, a laugher for the Sox in game 6 (thanks JD), so what's your prediction for the 7th and deciding game? True, we're rolling the Dice but I see Matsuzaka going 5 innings and then it's in the hands of the bullpen. Boy, would I love to see another breakout performance from the offense to take some of the pressure off...but if we have to settle for a nip and tuck affair to get the win so be it. But I gotta tell ya, I see a lot of similarities to '04 when the Yankees were in a funk they just couldn't snap out of.

What a huge day we have for you on Fox 25 Sunday, back to back NFL games and don't forget, immediately following the Cowboys and Vikings at 4pm is our pre-game show before the winner take all game 7. I love the Sox chances and can't wait to see how it all unfolds. How about you?

Go Sox!

Ock

I am not a "seer" or a "prophet," but this is getting a little scarey ... We were down 3-0 against the Yanks in '04 & I was claiming a World Series victory w/ "I BELIEVE" (at the top of my lungs) as I rode through the No. End, handing a few bucks to one of the vets standing at the intersection w/ a sign. He & I grasped hands in a very warm gesture. Suddenly we were joined in our chant by everyone passing by. Then, somehow "belief" came true. Tonight, when Drew came to the plate w/ bases loaded & the announcers diminishing his abilities by reciting dreary statistics, I started talking to him (again out loud in the presence of my friends & family - through the TV): "It's your moment, Kid. You can feel it. You know it. It's your time. Do it." I told 'em all, "this kid's gonna whack one..." All the naysayers were glued to the TV w/ one hope -- what their crazy mom suggested. KA-POW! That beautiful soaring ball, with everyone's knuckles white as the ball sailed over the warning track. You should have seen their faces! I BELIEVE!

Who would have ever thought--JD DREW--way to go! My husband and I are somewhat creatures of habit--Saturday night is date ight for us-- no kids and no babysitting the grandchildren on Saturday night--it's Nana and Grampa's date night. Well, we more often than not, end up at the same place after we have gone to dinner. We sit, have a couple drinks and play keno, and of course, watch the SOX. It's no secret there that I am a die hard SOX fan there. Tonight we happened to walk in after the big JD event--and the first thing they all asked me is if I saw the "HIT". Of course I had. The babysitter had already arrived for my grandson, and we were just sitting talking for a few minutes when all of a sudden the bases were loaded and JD stepped up to the plate. I thought--oh, well, here's an out! Holy cow--he hits a grand slam!!!!! Can you even believe this game? Even Schilling was awesome!!!!!!! GO SOX!!!!!!! I am beside myself!!!! My prediction for game 7--the SOX--they were so hot tonight, they will keep the momentum going--they're pumped! Cleveland looked like a bunch of amateurs.

Since I nailed the Game 6 prediction let's see how I do for Game 7:

Dice-K:

Has known since game 3 he'd be getting the ball in game 7 and has been in pressure situations before. He knows how to prepare for such a big game and it will be at Fenway where the crowd will carry him. He doesn't show "Tired Arm" as he is throwing in the low to mid 90's. He has to pitch inside and feature the breaking ball. This was the perfect combination Pedro used in his dominant years along with the changeup. If he keeps batters honest with inside heat the curve and changeup will be Pedroesque tonight having the front leg lock on breaking balls and changeups.

The Pen is rested and ready. I was happy to see Timlin taking no part of the Calypso drummers in the pen last night and was focused and ready. Game 2 was fun seeing them drumming but not in the ALCS, save that stuff for a June series with K.C. Lester will be first out tonight if Dice-K struggles and Paplebon can definitley go 2 innings.

Westbrook:

Didn't shut down the Sox he just made a couple pitches when needed. Bases loaded no out and the Sox get nothing was huge. In his last 8 starts he's 3-5 and 0-4 in road games. This is not a game in the friendly confines of the Jake and he will struggle early in "Frenzied Fenway" as he did in Yankee Stadium last week. He doesn't overpower hitters but has a great sinker. If he isn't pinpoint with the sinker and it stays up it will be a long night that will end in 3 1/3 short innings.

I would love to see Ellsbury in the leadoff spot tonight. I know Francona loves Pedroia there but h

Hard fought game, taken to the end, possiby extra innings...bullpen comes up big...Ortiz with a walk off.

Ellsbury thought continued:

Ellsbury leads off and gets to third by steal and sacrifice or first to third on a single. Now the Papi shift can't be used due to his speed at third. Ellsbury and the speed factor must be used from the leadoff spot. Youk' struggles against breaking/sinker balls so I'd move him to 6th behind Lowell.

My score:
Sox 12
Tribe 2

AMOM:

I appreciate you're confidence in Drew. I must admit I was with Kayles mode of thinking but low and behold he gets one of the biggest hits in Sox history.

I like the chances for tonight and what a scene it will be at the ol' ball park tonight if they win.

Mark,

I don't want to make any predictions. I just hope they find a way to win tonight. It ought to be interesting. We need to score early to alleviate the pressure on Daisuke.

We need Dice-K control the first 3 innings then the Sox should throw all our weapons at them [Beckett, Wake, Oki, Pap's.] to keep the tribe off balance. Dice-k has had his issues in the 4th inning all year. Keep your eye on Mike Lowell for a great game.

You no Ock, I like many other's, wasn't to nice when it came to conversation about J.D. Drew. You no what, I don't apologize. He was great last night, but we waited for that moment the whole season. I haven't been to nice with some of what I wrote about Curt Schiling. You no what, I don't apologize. He hasn't been the greatest this season. Last night he was GOOD. These guys get payed alot of money. They need to be more consistent. Dice-K tonight, I wish him well. I think Terry has learned a good lesson, DON'T WAIT TO PULL HIM. Ock, I have a good feeling, I think they will win it 6-2. Please God Please....

red sox in 5 against the rookies ... i think we need a full time catcher jason varatek is so OVERRATED i mean he doen't even catch 20-25 percents of the games he has to be the FIRST CAPTAIN THAT ONLY PLAYS 75 PERCENTS OF THE TIME...If he is such a wotld class catcher and the BEST how come he takes ev 4th or 5th day off why cause of a knuckleballer is pitching ????? IF HES SO GREAT HOW COME HE DOESN"T CATXCH EM ALL KNUCKLE PITCH OR GYRO pitch .. isn't the reson we don't have pitchers being captain is because they want a CAPTAIN THAT PLAYS EVRYDAY not take 25 percent of the time off
