I need to start this by saying I know we live in the heart of Red Sox Nation; the Patriots are proving again why they are the best team in the NFL; and the Celtics are finally have some players worth watching. But when I click on the Sports tab, and the topic under the NHL is how Atlanta got its first win, I had to speak.

I'm a hockey fan through and through. I know the Bruins will always be the 3rd or 4th talked about team. But how can you not mention that two weeks into the season, they finally had their home opener Thursday night?? A WIN NO LESS!!

The B's finally have a competent coach with a proven winning record; they are taking the steps, no matter how small, to right the ship so to speak. But when the local media in their home town feels to even report on their home opener, it makes you wonder why they bother.

There has been a lot of talk already about the 2007-2008 Bruins playing with a chip on their shoulder. I am beginning to see why.
