It looks like we may be seeing the beginning of the end, when it comes to Spygate. I don't know about you, but I say it's about time. I am so tired of this story!
In case you haven't heard, the NFL and former Pats video assistant Matt Walsh have come to an agreement, that will allow the two sides to finally meet. The meeting will take place in New York on May 13, and Walsh will be required to hand over any tapes or evidence he may have against the Patriots. In exchange, the NFL and Patriots have agreed not to sue Walsh.
It should be very interesting to see what comes out of the meeting. Walsh is rumored to have evidence of the Patriots taping the Rams pre-Super Bowl workout back in 2002.
Meantime the Patriots released a statement today saying: "We are eagerly anticipating his honest disclosures to Commissioner Goodell next month and the return of all the materials he took during his time of employment. We fully expect this meeting to conclude the league’s investigation into a damaging and false allegation that was originally levied against the team on the day before this year's Super Bowl. "
