Another road playoff game and another dud from the Celtics on Saturday night. I know, I know, mathematically the Celtics can win the NBA Championship without winning a road game, but C'mon, does anyone really think that is going to happen?

Eventually the Green are going to have to step up and win a game away from the friendly confines of the Garden. Once again in Game 3, the Celts came out of the locker room flat. And unlike Game 2, the bench wasn't there to bail out the starting 5. For some reason, the Celts have had trouble starting games of late, and when you do that on the road, your often dig a hole that is just too deep to climb out of.

The scary thing is that the Cavs pounded the Celtics without Lebron James having a big game again. The King scored 21 points on just 5 of 16 shooting. You've gotta think, he has a breakout game coming sooner or later.

Another alarming issue in this series is that despite being up 2 gams to 1, the Celtics have yet to score 90 points in a game! Celts are flirting with disaster right now. They really have to get their act together, or #17 is not gonna happen.

Ryan,
Couldn't it just be all about the money, that the NBA is getting,by making the games go longer?
I mean the Celtics were great during the
regular season, seemingly stomping on these teams, now all of the sudden to "TANK"
I really think it's the NBA pulling the strings, How is it that the Celtics lost 2 in Atlanta, then demolished the Hawks the last game?
I'm not worried

legend,

THANK YOU!!!!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!! I have been trying to get someone to see this through my eyes!!! I understand home field advantage, its after all a factor in every sport, but this is ridiculous. In both series they have absolute STUNK away from home and like magic, when they return home, they can kill the other team?? Come on! I can understand the Cavs (and Hawks) winning at home, but by murdering them that way when the Celts were just killing them two days earlier? Bull!! It is not to the advantage of the NBA to have these games finish early and that is my take on it. This is a set up and both teams are required to participate. They were playing like they were barely there! During both series (Hawks too) the officiating has been horrible away from home...nope, something is up here. The Celts are a great defensive team and so are the Cavs. The games should be close and not so obviously weighted when each team is playing at their home.

I'm switching back to baseball.

If you check the other playoff series, home teams have won every game but one. Game 4 could be huge in terms of how deep they can go into the post season. A 1st road win could be a key for a possible run at the tile. Going home 2-2, again, could be a big hurdle. It is almost a must win.

Game 3 was only a blowout in the first quarter. The rest was pretty close.
