Here it is 11:56 PM on Valentines Day, and guess what? That's right, no Valentine date, love or otherwise...maybe next year. Thank goodness I have family...
Watching the TV tonight, about dating, I understood why, I do what I do...all this meeting people online, travelling to a meeting place, spending an hour, or more, with someone I'm really not interested in, was very time consuming . I had heard about speed dating and at first, I was hesitant, but then...what did I have to lose .
Talk about time management! 10-12 dates in 1.5 hours! I started participating in the speed dating events, and then...Voila! Now, I''m a regular matchmaker...lol. By running the parties, I get to check out the merchandise (sorry guys...lol) and make a little money, too. Isn't love grand ;)
Maybe I'll be responsible for my own destiny...what a nice thought, (the old maid thing really didn't appeal to me).
Happy Valentines Day to Lovers and Others...
Here in NH, not many choices on dancing venues. I find alot of the clubs are geared towards a younger crowd, and since I'm not ready for the old folks home yet, like to find more "over 40" places! I've travelled an hour to Vincent's in Randolph, just to get a good dancing crowd, and feel like I'm in Boston, without going to Boston. Boston is actually closer so if anyone has any ideas, I'm listening (esp. if they start dancing by 9pm)
Usually, I attend the Together dances, (in Nashua and Windham, NH) they start dancing at 8pm which I like, since I'm an "early to bed, early to rise" type person. Guess I won't do too well in Boston, as most of the clubs don't even open until 10pm.
I don't mind a bit of a drive, but Randolph is too far out there. The Princeton Station in Chelmsford was fun a couple weeks ago, the Ashworth in Hampton is ok, but small. DJ's are ok, live groups are better...anyone have any ideas where I can boogie? I'm really bored with my choices, lately.
