How much time will be wasted on the Enquirer story about John Edwards' infidelity with a campaign videographer?  We all know it will be too much-because people love a train wreck, and a guy who carries on a long affair while holding his wife's hand, announcing that she has near terminal cancer is a train wreck.  The question is, will Edwards be crazy enough to continue on?  Will the increased exposure (albeit, negative exposure) actually bolster his popularity in a deranged, Clinton-esque way?

Now, if the story were that John Edwards had an affair with Bill Belichick's videographer.....

You've GOT to be kidding. This is real? Although I don't think he's "presidential" material, he seems to be much too smart and have much more class than to be the fodder for the tawdry pages, replacing Britney & Paris. Boy, oh, boy -- is there no end to the grease on the world's skids these days? Whoa.

UncleCharles, have you heard this story anywhere but on the more conservative-leaning media outlets? My bet is that this one dies quickly (though not as quickly as his presidential campaign should have done a while ago). This won't be in the New York Times or on CBS, unless it's to comment on how Conservatives are trying to smear such a "decent" man.

Your profile mentions that you like tea. Lipton, by any chance?

Yes, indeed-Lipton. Mark my words-this will not go away and he is all done. The word is that the evidence-pictures, tapes, etc. are overwhelmingly damning. The more left-leaning outlets will ignore it as long as is humanly possible but eventually they will have to get to it.
