Vb I wrote an blog this morning called the gay state, but it did'nt even get posted on the back pages. I guess I was'nt PC enough. Great analogy with the cigarett tax. I say dont pass it , make them move here to get married, we are loosing population so they can pay the outrages taxes to feed the government pig!

Doug, most of the time I see your smug face on your "video blogs," you aren't making an ounce of sense. You think you make very clever points, but you come across as clueless and condescending. Nice touch with the "casual" leg up on the desk though.

VB, I just saw your comments on Fox News and I completely agree with you. As long as the politicians on Beacon Hill are lining their pockets it really doesn't matter whether someone supports gay marriage or not. Let them continue to sell their souls to "raise revenue." The once great state of Massachusetts has become the most backwards, liberal state in the nation. Taxachusetts, the gay state, whatever you want to call it....it's all true.

VB LETS FACE IT OUR GOVERNOR IS MORE CONCERNED WITH GAYS THAN THE AVERAGE HARD WORKING AMERICAN WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO HEAT THEIR HOME THIS WINTER

Very funny analogy, VB! Can you, or anyone else out there, please tell me what the cigarette tax is? It seems that we always hear about it, but does anyone really know what it is? Not only are smokers charged "that" tax, but, then there's the 5% state sales tax on top of that! Is it even a LEGAL tax? Amazing, huh? This state can keep adding charges to things then just decide to call it a "TAX"!!!!! Very strange! As for the gays--Does it really matter where they get married? All they want is to be happy! Years ago, those who couldn't marry in Massachusetts(age) went to New Hampshire! Those marriages were deemed legal-- no one ever questioned that when they returned to MA. I honestly don't know what the big deal is!!! SORRY!!!!!

Look if they want to let everyone get married here then fine. However if they go back to their home states and can't get divorced then at least 1 of them will have to move to Mass and become a resident in order to file for divorce. Ah the great Commonwealth, rope 'em in and we get another blessed taxpayer for taxachusetts. Lets collect those fees ladies and gentlemen.

kayleisnana,

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D) on Tuesday signed into law a bill that increases the state cigarette tax by $1 per pack, the AP/Boston Globe reports. The increase, which brings the tax to $2.51, took effect immediately.

VB the Governor needs to worry about the economy and loss of jobs in this State. With people out of work that would be less taxes to pay for tis so called Big Dig that turn out to be worth billions that we have to pay. But now with the loss of jobs and less people working now they pick on the working poor and elderly who can hardly make it in this lovely state of massachusettes. So stop worrying about outsiders getting married here lets worry about the communties and what it is doing to us.Thanks

Who are we (MA) to tell the rest of the country gay marriage is OK. Personally I don't care one way or the other. I just don't think we should allow them to marry here and then go back to their state where they can't do it. Will their home state recognize their marriage?

VB Do you honestly think the politicians we elect into office care about us voters and how we feel. When the voters speak up on gay marriages and the Big Dig taxes they dont care how we feel there going to vote for it regardless. So why do we vote? There going to vote yes anyhow an thatd wrong they should listen to us taxpayers, voters but they dont whats the use.

VB, the gov. and his crew fulled off one of the biggest fleecings in political history. I saw it coming as well as many of the people I know. He convinced everyone that it was time for a change, and together we can. Now Obama stands poised to repeat the offense, and nobody in mass is crying foul. I think voters in this state as well as around this great country just love being hosed. The true reason Deval run for Gov. was not any different than any other recent politican elected, to take care of his own interests. What a surprise. It will never changed as long as people keep buying into the rhetoric on both sides. The average hard working guy is sick and tired of the taxes and the people that work for us doing whatever they want. If the state house was a private company we would fire them. time to clean house, stop spending, stop handing out freebies to everyone who whines and get this country back on its feet. Close the borders or else the better life they are coming for will be gone.WAKE UP AMERICA !!!

No one wants to follow the rules but they still want all the benefits. Not all but a lot of immigrants want all that we have to offer but they don't want to follow the rules necessary to become a citizen. People say they are religious and want the blessings of the church but they don't follow the rules and what is required of them by their own bibles. Individuals cry and complain about not having enough money for housing, food, etc., but they aren't willing to go out and get work or get free training so they can get a job. Our public and elected officials are the biggest thieves, they go to work an hour late, take an extra hour for lunch, leave an hour early and have the nerve to complain about not making enough money and then TAX us for the difference.

The list goes on and the sad thing is that nothing will be done about it. It may be mentioned and or addressed at some point but it will not be corrected. Look at our history. It is repeating itself.
