How's this for a phrase that makes no sense:  Sal DiMasi is in favor of sales tax holiday?

Sal DiMasi and sales tax holiday in the same sentence? I guess there's a first time for everything. I thought he was allergic to giving breaks to taxpayers. I am typing this from the floor where I passed out after hearing this. HA, HA.

Sal dosen't have any financial worries. he can afford anything in this state!

can't speak for everyone, but i would like to take advantage of the sales tax holiday. however, i think we need more than a couple of days. alot of us (myself included) are hurting for money to meet our "everyday expenses" such as rent, food, utilities, transportation, etc.
NY does a week before the schools open, and another week during the holiday shopping season. give us some incentive!

This whole sales tax holiday thing is just a gimmick...a way of getting more customers through the door for businesses that may or may not need the boost in profits. I previously worked 5 years for a retailer who despite the tax holiday only being two days did presales the whole week before so that they could maximize the profits from the sales tax holiday. I can tell you that all of their employees dread that weekend because of having to put in 50 plus hours in one weekend just for the benefit of profit!! Plus who wants to stand in an hour long line just to get $2.00 off an item! Come on now, gimme a break!

Is it just me or... when there is a 10%, even 15%, off sale somewhere people don't go rushing out (they consider it a good deal if they needed the item anyway) but OMG if the state take the 5% tax off people sworm the malls.

V.B., I have NEVER UNDERSTOOD his or hers logic up on the hill and by the way, we both know which way BLEEP rolls too right !!!!!!
