Q's Crib

Greetings,

I admit I often think of cosmetic surgery especially when I drag my butt out of bed at 1am and pop in my "The Firm" DVD, I often wonder, wouldn't liposuction be easier? And who hasn't looked in the mirror and thought, "Maybe a lift here, or a tug there or a bit of Botox above the brow would do this girl some good?" Well put down the scalpel and take a look at the buxom brunette from Brazil. This woman is beautiful.

She's stunning! And yet she says she's living her dream by having FFF breast implants. What on earth would possess someone to want to be a circus freak? It's insane. And honestly, I think this borders on criminal.

When did women start hating themselves in droves? I don't always have the highest self-esteem. Good grief, I work in a newsroom where quite a few of my co-workers wear 00! Even if I never eat again, my "junk in the trunk" won't come close to squeezing into anything near that. But to borrow a line from the 80's diet diva Susan Powter, it's time to STOP THE INSANITY! If you watch shows like The Swan, Extreme Makeover, or I Want a Famous Face, it seems it's normal to undergo outrageous amounts of cosmetic surgery. It's not. And this woman should be the poster child for all the reasons why.

Look, I'm not knocking plastic surgery. If you want a lift, tuck or little less in the backside, more power to you. But isn't the purpose supposed to be to enhance what you've got? Isn't this woman going overboard? Check out the picture and read the entire story and then tell me what you think. And as always, thanks for hanging in my crib!

Q, maybe this woman's idea of enhancement is adding back, neck and clavicle pain to her life? I saw on one story about how she's also had ribs removed to make her waist smaller and something about admiring Dolly Parton. Maybe this woman should take a look at Dolly's medical problems today before she schedules another surgery.

Also, I seem to remember hearing that many plastic surgeons won't do implant surgeries past a certain cup size...And if that's not true, then yes, this should probably be criminal!

I agree 100%.

This woman must not have anything between the ears, thinking putting it on her chest will help.

Wow!! such negative criticism. Maybe she thinks bigger is better. Who knows, maybe it is and maybe it isn’t? But, I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there who love those triple F's.

Now, what if a guy could do that? You know add a little here a little there. How LONG do you think the line for the Doctors office would be for that surgery, and do you think the ladies would appreciate their man a little more? It's almost criminal to think like that isn't it? GIDDY UP!!!........LOL

When did women start hating themselves in droves?

I'll tell ya why. Because society has made it almost impossible for us to love ourselves the way we are. And if we're not beautiful and desirable, our men might leave us for someone that's prettier, sexier, younger. Maybe even someone that has had plastic surgery.

So it's a complete gamble. Will he love you forever? Stand by you no matter WHAT you look like? We'd like to think so, but the answer is, maybe not. And THAT is the reason that I think many women "alter" themselves. It's like an insurance policy. Granted, it doesn't always work. Sometimes a man will leave us regardless of how we look. But I think that's why some women do it. They strive to look as good as they can so their man won't leave them.

At the surface it's about feeling good about ourselves. But it all comes down to one thing - the opposite sex. There's a competition to look better than other women and a strive to keep a man. The things we do for love!

Q- First--I would like to tell you that you truly are beautiful--I know we are never satisfied with what we have, but, you truly are beautiful, and I'm sure your husband would agree! Now, with that being said, I'm not so sure your intention was to make this blog "funny", but, I am sitting here LMAO at the comments! In an indirect way, you made me laugh! You most certainly put a smile on my face! Thanks!!!

As far as men getting the endowment surgery, their is a procedure that works (sometimes). No way in hell would I ever consider it. I'd rather have working parts, than non-working parts. Love me or leave me. I will always be the real deal!

Q,
You are simply beautiful! In fact, I have to be IN work @ 6:45AM, and I often run late because I feel that I need to catch a "glimpse" of Q and what her outfit/hair looks like before I start my day... (on days when I'm lucky, you're standing!!! whoohoo!) I think that you're perfect the way you are physically, and your personality on-air makes you even that much more special!
I'm all for people wanting to "upgrade" themselves with a little makeover of some sort, but to start OPERATING on yourself is a little extreme...
