Max was joking. Let it go. Multiple blogs I read  said it's about a nothing-incident that was misinterpreted isn't going to help kill it.
 The reaction from WEEI (local boston sports talk)was predictible(this is why it's making news). This type of behavior and attitude is not only acceptable there, it's encouraged. Meanwhile, they pee their pants every time Manny Ramirez gets caught in traffic on the way to work. Also, I'm fairly convinced 90% of the hosts at WEEI don't even watch the games(celtics).

This is a nothing incident and it's only the media that is trying to make this into a situation. Max was joking around with Grande and then after the joke was over they both said how Violet was one of the best officials in the game. Everyone needs to get over this subject and let Max go back to doing what he does best and that's quacking....

LOL listar!!! That being said....yes it is insulting. Had he said it about mywife, I'd be fuming. What's more, it's dumbassed. Any guesses why he wasn't disciplined?

***My husband thought it was pretty funny... in fact to tell you the truth I laughed a bit too... though it was a bit funnier when they interviewed the reporter who had made the comments about Jason Kidds wife. I am not one to get to insulted on the go back to the kitchen comments and every person is NOT the same. LOL, though I would probably be the same type of person who would have walked over after i heard the comment and asked what time he was coming over, so I could have his eggs and bacon ready. I guess i try to take everything lighthearted though***

I'm about to shoot the sacred cow....here's the reason this is not being taken seriously, and why Cedric Maxwell is not being disciplined. White folks are afraid to apply the same standards to black folks that black folks expect to be applied to them.

In short: All "ism's" are not created equal."
