"ROCHESTER -- Emergency crews were called to street (took it out) shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday on reports of a hit-and -run accident involving a pedestrian and a dog.
Police said, Raymond , 71, was walking his dog on the southbound shoulder of the road. They were struck by a southbound vehicle that when off the shoulder. After striking Poirier and his dog the driver left the scene, said investigators.
The vehicle is described as blue, possibly a Chevy Lumina. A partial New Hampshire plate of 259 was recalled by witnesses, said police. The vehicle would have front passenger side damage and hood damage. The driver is described as a short female, said police. "
