A little over a month ago a horrible fire took the lives of 2 sisters in South Boston.  Huddled together in a closet 14 year old Acia clung to her baby sister of 3 Sophia.  All along the fire dept said it looks like something was thrown into the West Sixth Street house.  The mother Anna Reisopoulus and Acia's twin brother survived.  A biter argument between Anna and her 25 year  Lover, romantic partner is said to be what lead up to this heart wrenching event.  Nicole Chuminski is said to have had traces of the same accelerate that was found at the house.  The fight broke out between the 2 ladies when Chuminski accused Reisopoulus of stealing a wallet from a relative at a wedding. She now faces life + 20 years.  The lives of 2 families will never be the same.   The day in court Monday will be a very tense scene I guarantee.

And the worst of it is that it is us...all of us...who are partially responsible for creating/allowing a world bereft of consequences for the lesser....allowing "the greater' to happen...

At her arraignment today, she pleaded Not guilty. Her lawyer says she would have never hurt the children. Someone else do it? I guess all things are possible. To much of a coincidence? We'll see.....

All criminals will enter a not guilty plea regardless. But, in this case, her plea is in reference to the fact she did not intend to kill the children, but to simply burn down the house. The children were suppose to be living in another residence by court order, but somehow, they slipped through the cracks and were in a place they weren't suppose to be due to lack of monitoring their whereabouts.

I don't feel this woman intended harm to the children, but when you lose control of your emotions this is what can happen. She'll be spending a lot of time locked up and having to live with the memory of what her lack of emotional control did to innocent lives and her own life.

Sad all around.

Did not mean to kill?? Guess that makes it okay to burn an occupied house down?? Murder is always charged when death by arson occurs. I think technically, manslaughter may be more appropriate, but over charging and under sentencing seems ingrained in our Massachusetts justice system.

Seems like a lot of kids "slip through the cracks"......or in this case....the crackheads.

The word "lovers" is being thrown around in the media far to loosely.

All murders of innocent children are equally very sad.

This is my semi annual profile update. Live in the West Fenway section of Boston with my cat Daisy (pictured). Came to Ma. about 30 years ago from Nu Yawk. If we had a conversation you would think I just got off the boat. I lived in Waltham, Bedford, Lowell and now Boston. Never ever was a sports fan in NY. My family hates that I am now a dedicated Red Sox Fan. I was in the Navy, I drove a Taxi in NY, I worked for the VA, and now have a disability retirement from the Post Office. I am a Jewish, Gay man in my mid 50's. I am a registered democrat who has voted for Nixon and Reagan and I don't care what you think about my social or political views.
