Granted it isn't even in the News yet, but very soon you will be hearing people from both sides of the aisle telling you the evils of Gay Marriage.   Since the year plus that it has been legal I can't recall one problem that has arisen.

On the other hand while sitting here watching Kim and Gene rattle off the News this morning the 3 top stories read as follows:

I...  Uncle, person of interest in the disappearance of his 12 year old niece.  By the way, he's a registered sex offender.

II... 47 year old man being held in custody after his arrest.  He has been on the States most want list.  He was wanted  for brutally raping his daughter over a 5 year period.

III... Winchester teacher facing charges of child enticement of a 13 year old girl.

When are you people going to realize,  be afraid of your straight neighbours and not your Gay one's.

My issue has never been "gay marraige" but with the way that it was forced on us. I want...I demand ...my right to vote on it.

Then I will vote in favor.

Now, wouldn't the right for a gay couple to marry sealed with a majority vote be better?

I agree, fenway! When are people going to realize that there is NO comparison between a gay and a pedophile? Not even close! I would have NO objections to having gay neighbors, as a matter of fact, I would welcome it!!!!! I can think of three gay couples who live in my neighborhood, and, strange as some may think, they actually live NO differently than my husband and I do!!!

Dave, your, or MY sexual preference is our business and ours only. Becuase they differ means nothing. Two of my 4 best friends here at work are lesbians. My favorite in-law is my wfe's lesbian sister.... folks is folks.

You're right, Fenway! We live in a pretty nice area, where everyone is pretty good about the upkeep of their property(with the exception of a few). They have small children who are always very clean and well-dressed. I have several friends who are gay; I don't look at a person's sexual preference when I meet them, I judge EVERYONE by what kind of person they are. I wouldn't appreciate it if someone judged me by my preferences; I don't do it to others!

Fenway,
You know where I stand on this issue. "Demanding" has left thousands of G&L couples without visitation and other benefits. Many G&L's say that we should be willing to "compromise". But what they really mean is "capitulate". That difference has left many loving couples without benefits, and regardless of this state's Congress efforts to dictate "new law" to the nation, it will have an overall negative impact on the quest for same-sex benefits. That was, as I recall, what the original issue was supposed to be about. Or has it changed?

This is my semi annual profile update. Live in the West Fenway section of Boston with my cat Daisy (pictured). Came to Ma. about 30 years ago from Nu Yawk. If we had a conversation you would think I just got off the boat. I lived in Waltham, Bedford, Lowell and now Boston. Never ever was a sports fan in NY. My family hates that I am now a dedicated Red Sox Fan. I was in the Navy, I drove a Taxi in NY, I worked for the VA, and now have a disability retirement from the Post Office. I am a Jewish, Gay man in my mid 50's. I am a registered democrat who has voted for Nixon and Reagan and I don't care what you think about my social or political views.
