Every time the stock market goes down, the media says; it's a negative for McCain.

Obama said he wants to double the capital gains tax. This is a large contributer to the downward slide of the market.

If Obama gets elected,be prepared for a real crash of the market.

There  will be a huge sell off in November and December, anticipating Obama's doubling of the Capital gains tax..

I 've been working in Allston lately. I drive Mass ave to Beacon st, to Brighton ave.

I have noticed more and more cyclists.

Yesterday I saw one almost get hit by a truck.

The cyclist went right through a red light.

The word needs to get out ,that they are suppose to follow the rules of the road, just as if they were driving a car.

None of us need to live with the possibility of running over a cyclist on our way to work.

The band Heart complained that The RNC used their song without thei permisson. They also said they would not have allowed it even if asked.

The Rnc should know that songs are copyrighted, and all they have to do is pay a fee to ASCAP,a song writers agency that collects royalties for them.

It is only a couple thousand bucks per year, and I bet after further investigation the RNC is a member of ASCAP.

In 2000 Jackson Brown sued McCain for using one of his songs.

That's why I assume the RNC is a member of ASCAP.

If they aren't then, they are just stupid or arogant.

I guess the Obama  solution is to pick a VP to cover His weakness'. It worked for Bush. Cheney has the foreign policy experience. Having said that,I think picking  Biden, the "pit bull "

will backfire on Obama. In the primary, Biden constantly said Obama did'nt have the experience to be president. There is so much footage of this, that McCain will pound this point with ads.

Biden has run several times for president, and got less votes than Ross Perot. Biden is abrasive, and trying to  come off as a working man is dis-ingenious,at best.

I have been saying to liberals,"Be careful what you wish for"

Look at Hilary and Bill, with all their divercity and affimative action support. Where did it get her,Only beaten by her own socialistic agenda.

Move on .obama, the country is not looking for the far left agenda !

I have been saying for years the the State, "Government Pig" is out of control !

The state has a law to protect state employees that get "Booted" for political reasons.

This law allows them to collect a pension with health insurance , with no age requirement.

Six ,Big "pig" employees just got these pensions ,and they are in their 40"s and 50"s !

One of them gets $72K per year and holds a public job in R.I. that pays him $130k !

Lets see 30 years @$72k=$2.16million!, And that dose'nt include his health ins.costs.

It is estimated that it has cost the state an additional $100 to $200 million in the past 5 years for these "special" pensions over a normal pension.

I guess it is going to take Bancruptcy to wake this "PIG" up!

Back in the 80's The democratically controlled congress, and signed by the republican president, lifted regulations on banks and investment banking. It seemed like a good idea at the time, getting government out of the way of the market.

The problem is Wall St =Greed. Well I guess the politicians were hosed by wall st. as usual.  Not them personally ,as they got sweetheart morgages and other perks ,as usual. This is more proof that ALL politicians are in bed with corporations!

The savings and loan scandel years ago  was the first shoe to drop, now the second is the morgage crisis. Now the government says if a banking institution is too large to fail, they will Bail them out. Bail them out !, with what money, and what is the return. The money is Yours, and the return is zero. The Government has also eliminated "naked" short  selling. What this amounts to is, stiffiling anyone from saying the banks are lieing as usual.

After this anouncement ,Freddie And  Fannie Stocks started to rise rapidly. Foreign investers are buying up their stock like it is going out of stlye. And why not , the government now is guarenteeing they won't fail. If any of you out there play the market, Buy Fanny And Freddy. Those stocks will rise exponentially.

At least until the government realizes how dumb this bail out is. Fanny and Freddy should be allowed to fail, and let the stock holders pay the price ,instead of all of us. After all the stock holders willingly chose their risk.  !

By the way the CEO fof Freddie, made $19.8 million last year!

Here is a thought: Solar panels are to expensive and bulky. The feds talk about tax credits for people that install solar panels. The energy they don't consume goes back into the grid for a credit.

Why, Don't the electric companies use Solar panels to generate  a portion the electricity we buy from them??

God knows they can afford to buy and install them. I would imagine on such a large scale, the technology could advance exponetionaly.

Oh Ya , I said wind too. Cape wind would generorate enough power for the entire cape and southeastern mass. Sounds like a no-brainer to me. Oh thats right our elected officials don't have Brains, only open hands for their political contributions.

A california congress woman wants to implement a federal mandated national 55 mph speed limit. This is the best idea the do nothing democratically controlled congress can come up with for an energy plan. She claims it will save enough oil ,that we won't have to drill in the U.S. I guess useing our own oil in her eyes is more than a last resort.

We had a national 55 mph when ther E were several million less cars on the road. I think today it would cause more traffic jams, and nullify any gas savings.

It will also open the door for more speeding tickets, Fines and insurance surcharges,

NO THANKS !!

Deval is out pushing his educational stimulus plan. Well here is an idea, It's time to think about oil and gas prices. Alot of Mass residents heat their homes with oil. Prices have already hit near $5 per gallon. All the "education stimulus" we need is from you 2 is to come up with a plan to help us get through next winter. At $1000 per fill up, there will be people ,literaly freezing to death. Here is an idea, forget  the un-justified stupid pay raises for legislators for one, and use the money to supliment heating oil. Second charge a $100 to every municipal and state employee, as they have been living high on the hog, while we suffer. THere are an average 1000 employees per town X 350 cities and towns X $100 ea., that equals $35 million dollars. We have been paying their salaries, and it's time for the "Public Servants" to give something back !! This includes  teachers ,cops firemen,  and  all  municipal and state government employees.

Not to long ago, there was talk about proposing a bill to allow people not born in this country to be able to run for president.  Governor Swortzinegar  was the big proponent of it.

Now it is found out , with almost no media coverage, that McCain was born in Panama. Is he getting an exemption, because his parents happened to be stationed in Panama when he was born??? Stand by Mitt you might have to take McCains nomination.

"This is the first time in my adult life, that I have been proud of America".

Read between the lines, What she is saying is that it is about time that , " White Guilt " is willing to elect a black president. Her back pedeling spin that she meant ,proud of politics for the first time,is just another neutral response from the Obahama camp. As for " White Guilt ", I will quote Morgan Freeman (popular black actor).

When it comes to slavery ,

" That was then this is now ".  This now is exactly where the country need to be. Every nationality has suffered some sort of repression or abuse. It' people like Al Sharpton and Jessy Jackson that won't let go of the past, that perpetuate the " Uncle Tom" mentality that will never alow minority's stand on their own two feet. Mrs. Obama's quote, make me think that the Obama's still hold resent of the past, and if they actually gain power, they will bring more division in the long run.

The best info I have right now is that Comcast says the last pat's game will only be availible on NFL network, for $7.95 per month+ $2.00 activation fee.  Then you can cancel it for another $2.00 fee, and get a pro rated credit for themonth for $7.68. So th overall cost to see the game is  about $4.25.  Wcvb 5 says they will have the game. The other rumor is that wcvb's broadcast will only reach out to 35 miles from Boston. I always thought only if the game did'nt sell out, then there could be a black-out.  I hope this isn't a preview of things to come, having to pay to watch your home team ,at home!!! If anyone has the absolute facts about this ripp-off, please reply

Only in Massachusetts!. I love how Mumbles Menio said that the details don't cost the city any money,as the contractors pay for the details. DER! Mumbles The contractors carry a budget item in their bids to pay for the details. So the construction cost is higher, costing the city more! The detail money is only step one to the overcost. The cop's pensions are based on their highest paid 3 years, which includes detail pay. Most cops make about $100k per year including detail pay. So their pension is based on $100k instead of their base salary of around $50k. This is one of the biggest ripp-offs that come with a 1 party State! Iam also sure Deval is just blowing hot air that he will go after cop money. Just like his Promised property tax relief, that was another bag of hot air.

I have recently been commuting north of Boston via Rt 93. In the morning  north bound is backed up to Rt. 28 in Randolph, because of the HOV lane. People from 128 and rt. 3 are trying to merge,as well as people trying to get into the hov lane. Originally the hov lanes required 3+ persons in a vehicle, but because the lanes were empty now only 2 are required. What is the ultimate goal of the hov lane. I thought it was to decrease traffic back ups, thus reducing air pollution. As I see it from driving this route for 25 years. The traffic is worse ,pollution too. I say allow every car that wants to use the hov lane, no matter how many people in the car. What have we got to loose , but some pollution and fuel use.  All the money spent on the "Distressway" and it is no better.

The turnpike authority said today the ramps meet or exceed all federal standards. The same was said about the ramp that the college baseball players flew off too. Obviously something is wong,. The jersey barriers are low and the ramp is on a de-cline. They need to groove the pavement ,to alert speeders to slow down. I think one death and possibly another is excessive on a brand new road.
