once again the braindead writers from the BBWAA(Baseball Writers Association(and I emphasize ASS)chose not to elect jikm Rice to the hall of fame.Am I missing something here?Rice was an dominate figure during his era which was the clean era of MLB unlike todays game.Rice is being penalized because of his uncooperative nature with the media and some of the old farts who do the voting still hold that against Rice.I wuld love to persoanlly hunt down and ask those 16 voters why they left rice off their ballots and if it turns out that anyone submitted blank ballots as several writers did years ago to protest the pete rose exclusion from the HOF then those writers should lose their right to vote ever again.I hope Rice wont have to wait as long for the HOF as red sox nation waited for an championship(86 years)

See what happens when you dare to NOT kiss the media's a**? They are the biggest babies in the world and they never forget.

Rice got 392 votes out of 543.(72.2%) You need to ask an amazing 151 writers with votes why they did not vote for Jim Ed Rice. As 2008 goes on I am sure that we will be so sick and tired of the "Steroid Era" and the parade of players going down in flames, that a MONSTEROUS slugger from the "Clean Era" like Jim Rice should be a shoo-in for 2009.

I hope Jim Rice is a shoo-in for 2009. It's the last year he's eligible. Maybe the bonehead writers will vote him in then. I think he's waited long enough.
