DiMasi's Aide

Did anyone happen to catch Sal DiMasi's comment about his female aide at the St Patricks Day breakfast? 

I understand the point behind this breakfast is for the politicians to get together for some laughs mostly at the expense of other politicians in the room.  It all started when DiMasi's aide was helping him hold up movie posters calling then remakes of life in Mass starring our local politicians.  Sen Jack Hart, who was hosting the event, asked DiMasi, "Where did you get her?", to which DiMasi responded, "I got her from Spitzers office."   I find this comment by DiMasi to be completely inappropriate and disgusting.

Any thoughts?

Take a look at my post... I was absolutley disgusted... He calls her a prostitue and expects a laugh? It made me sick... I guess somewhere inside you have to wonder if he actually thinks or fantasizes about her in some way which could lead to him making a comment like that. When I saw the footage of it I just couldn't believe he would even try a joke like that.

Gross, sexist, he needs to go. :(

I did catch this alleged "joke" from DiMasi and also thought it was way over the line - sexist and just cruel. Those jokes at the breakfast are bad enough but they usually take aim at the elected pols - not a press aide. DiMasi sometimes just can't stop himself - I hope he's apologized to his aide and he probably needs to apologize to everyone else.

The young lady looked surprised by the comment. I thought that DiMasi was never going to shut up.

I missed the comment. Can she get him for sexual harrassment? I mean there's a bunch of credible witnesses. Well, witnesses anyway. lol

How can anyone be suprised at this Spitzer-wannabe? Sal is King; Argue the point & you will get squashed!
Anyone that can say, "Casinos will absolutely cause human damage on a grand scale" (as Sal did) is nothing more than a fearmonger on the scale of G.W.Bush! I've been going to Foxwoods for 15 years now; I've yet to see people sleeping in boxes or panhandling, unlike Sal DeMasi's turf!

"I have yet to see people sleeping in boxes or panhandling" That's an intelligent statement! Well, you're certainly not going to see them on the grounds of Foxwoods. On the other hand, there's a good chance you'll see more than a few in therapy.

well you'll certainly wouldn't see them on the grounds of Foxwoods. On the other hand there's probably more than a few in therapy. Not exactly an intelligent statement there Bob. Gambling is a regressive form of revenue generation. There can be no debate.

Most, if not all, of the people that go to Foxwoods aren't "sleeping in boxes" and it's ridiculous to even try and make that comment.
I'm willing to bet that the LARGE majority of them shouldn't be going there AT ALL. People will lose thousands of dollars they really can't afford with the delusion that they will "win it all back". That's what the casinos count on.

How about we eliminate the need for more cash flow by eliminating some of the dead wood jobs and overpaid cronyism positions in state and local government? Oh geez, this is Massachusetts, what WAS I thinking....

I did not catch the breakfast and I really think he went to far with it as well, and should apologize to his staff and others and should not think it is funny at all, besides we must be careful what we say and do and not critize other women in that matter either. Casimir Zigulis
