I went to my very first country music concert Saturday night.  Kenny Chesney was at Mohegan Sun with LeAnne Rimes opening up for him.  I was turned onto Country music nearly 2 years ago by a friend who insisted I'd like it if I gave it a chance.  So with an open mind, I listened to her playlist of fav country songs.  Who knew 2 years later I'd be attending Country music concerts!  I like lots of music.  I've seen Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, James Taylor just to name a few.  He was by far one of the BEST performers!  Any Country fans out there?  Tell me your favorite and help me expand my music playlist for me!  ~ smiley.....

Same here Smiley....35 year Aerosmith fan. I took my daughter to a Sugarland concert 2 years ago....HUGE FAN now...part of the fan club etc...

The radio stays on Sirius New Country now.

I think that you bring up a good point! NEW Country! Most people think of Country like the old honkey tonk .. I've got ALOT of, for lack of better words, BLEEP from my friends you like WHAT???? Oh well, not one to follow anyhow so dont care much if they dont like it! Ill have to listen to Sugarland dont know them. Thanks for the blog! :) Smiley.......

I have to admit...my wife has listened for 10+ year...I used to turn it on back then...Clint Black, Garth etc..and never admit it.

Try www.sugarlandmusic.com it's an OK site but they have songs playing on it....can't believe you haven't heard them yet. :)

You should go to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro in July to the Country Music Festival ... Kenny Chesney - Keith Urban (who is the BEST) and many others ....... this will be my third year and I'll go to many, many more!!!!!

Hey Murph72....Speaking of Dierks, it was recommended to me to download The Heaven Im Heading To .. LOVE IT! Im hoping to get some more country soon my friend said he'd hook me up with some of Country's Greatest Hits .. So looking forward to that!! ~smiley.....

Billy Currington-Good Directions

These are just a few of my favorites and the lyrics hit home of some of them and just put me in a good place on others. I always played Country music around the kids when they were babys and I'd sing with the songs. Today some 5 years later they love the music and always come to listen and dance with their Dad whsn I play my compliation CD's.
