Jon was a great little film called NO LOOKING BACK i love that movie.....i have never seen him in concert though....at the time they were really hot Stevie Ray Vaughn just broke out from David Bowie grasp and contract and i couldn't get enough of seeing S.R.V. live...and tried to get down his music on guitar an influenced my writing an playing greatly....the Spandex rock was not my cup of tea at the time but in recent years i have come to appreciate Jon and his bands contributions to music history....I dont like his politics though...sort like Johnny Cougar Melon Camp to liberal for me....Jon is great entertainer though...

I'm going to see Mellemcamp Tuesday night. I hope he doesn't make me cringe. He is a good entertainer though.

sirB, When couldn't stand the weather tour...i saw SRV at a abandoned air force base WINTER ISLAND it was a freaking great show! VOODOOO CHIL AN LENNY WAS SUPERIOR! people i knew there saw HENDRIX and said as far as the sound an quality of play SRV was a far better technician but Jimmy of course was superior in his creativity... we actually were swimming in the ocean an could hear an watch him playing on stage as we were swimming...i had to laugh my friend of mine got on the tour bus at the end of the show by saying he was a member of some Texas band i thought they were called the SKUNKS...they let him on.......and got to talk with the band...we LOAO....... :)
