I went to my very first country music concert Saturday night.  Kenny Chesney was at Mohegan Sun with LeAnne Rimes opening up for him.  I was turned onto Country music nearly 2 years ago by a friend who insisted I'd like it if I gave it a chance.  So with an open mind, I listened to her playlist of fav country songs.  Who knew 2 years later I'd be attending Country music concerts!  I like lots of music.  I've seen Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Janet Jackson, Aerosmith, James Taylor just to name a few.  He was by far one of the BEST performers!  Any Country fans out there?  Tell me your favorite and help me expand my music playlist for me!  ~ smiley.....

I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing, very talented singer tonight at the Jimmy Fund Scooperbowl! Not only can she sing, but she is SOOOOOOO sweet! They were signing autographs (her and Nick Pedro from this year's American Idol) and my daughter and son were next in line. They shut the line off as we got there .. Ayla noticed the disappointment on my kids' faces and waved us in!!! My daughter, 9, was practically in tears that she could meet her! Her new-found fame hasn't gone to her head. She was incredibly sweet and even waved to my kids while performing on stage .. what an idol!!!!

Me and my friends had a rockin' good time at Harpoon's Brewfest yesterday! The music was great, especially the band Six Day Slide! I have seen them MANY times and go out of my way to see them whenever I can .. and yeh, I try to introduce new people to their music. A groupie you ask? Nah, but I do have an above average interest in this band, they are my kid cousins! Regardless of my relation, I would go out of my way to see them! It was awesome being amongst a HUGE crowd many of which knew the words to their songs .. It was amazing!!!

Attended a benefit last night where the cover band, The Joshua Tree,played for nearly 2 hrs! This band was amazing! Seriously, close your eyes, and you thought U2 was in the house! I am definately going to see them again .. They had great sound, lights, .. had it all .. and all this at a Son's of Italy!!! I know? Check them out!!!

Hey Fellow Bloggers!!
So, last night I was offered 2 tix to the Wang Center to see Harry Connick Jr. I always liked him and being a music lover, appreciated his style of music but honestly, isn't my first choice on my ipod ; )
However, after last night, I am thinking he deserves a playlist! This guy not only can sing (and his voice is better live!!), I have NEVER seen someone command a piano like he did .. his fingers ran up and down those 88 keys like nobody's business!! He had an 11-piece band too that would knock your socks off!!! Overall, I am so lucky to have been given the opportunity to go see him .. and to add to him being a phenomenal musician, he is VERY easy on the eyes too!! ; )
