I read an interesting article today in the Globe Parade insert. Can turning right save the Planet?  I guess UPS redesigned it's routes to minimize left-hand turns.  I guess their results are pretty impressive.  It's estimated that it saved roughly 3 millions gallons of gas with its deliveries in 2007 and it reduced it's emissions by 32,000 metric tons!!
How this worked? Well it's pretty obviously but I'll tell you anyways.  Left-hand turns require longer idling and burns more fuel than right-hand turns.  
So we can't go with Beyonce on this one .. to the left, to the left .. it's stage right my friends!
Would you change your routes to avoid left-hand turns to save some gas and the planet? I'll be honest, I don't think I would go through all the trouble, but it was an interesting article nonetheless!!!

Ok, is it me or is it EVERYONE is racing to get nowhere?  Seriously! Not once but THREE times today alone, I was trying to pull out of a parking lot, etc. and nobody would let me out only to get hung up at the red light up ahead!!!   
I actually got pulled over today by the police for blowing through a red.  What happened?  Well I was waiting to turn into a Mobile that was at/near a light.  When I arrived, it was green, then yellow, then 3 cars RACED through the red.  I then proceeded, I guess it was now my red when I took the turn and the cop pulled ME over for blowing through the light. I was like, are you kidding me with this?  I have an EXTREMELY good record and pride myself of my safe driving and after explaining what happened and pleading my case (and of course a few warm smiles), I was let go with a warning!
My point?  Race me .. go ahead.  I love it actually. Especially when you go around me in a two-lane road to only then meet you at the red light!!  And then, as luck would have it, the person in front of me actually bolts on the green and I get to pass you, smile, and proceed in front of you!!! Gotta love that!  Hee hee .. I'm actually enjoying writing this blog!  It's so true and I KNOW there are plenty of you out there who have had this done.  Maybe you are the one racing me too? Who knows!  Either way thought it would be fun to share!! Be safe! ~ Smiley...

So, I'm driving on 128 today and noticed so many cars that didn't bother to clear off the tops of their vehicles.  Seriously, are you THAT lazy?  I barely make 5ft 4in and my car is cleared off! How you ask? Good question.  It's called a Kitchen Broom!! I use it to reach over the car!!!
Today,  I saw a piece, a large piece of snow glaze fly off a van and two cars ahead of me took it right on their roof! Lucky for them it wasn't their windshield.  That could have created quite the accident!!
It appears we may have LONG winter ahead of us guys ... I know, I haven't really enjoyed all the shoveling,etc., either but we have to be considerate of others. So, PLEASE clear your windshield!!!!!

Ok, we've all seen it and probably done it .. do other things while driving. I am guilty for sure. I talk on my phone or I apply lip gloss, and of course drink my java! But I dont do it all at the same time. Today, I was exiting a parking lot . This woman was begging for an accident! She was backing out of her parking spot which is difficult in it's own right on a busy Sunday afternoon, she was also chatting on her phone while SMOKING a cigarette!!!!
I couldn't believe my eyes ... I've seen some things in my day that make me scratch my head, but this was just beyond! People are in such a hurry to go places, squeeze in hour's worth of errands in 20 minutes, keep in touch with family and friends regardless of where they are .. but to multitask all of this while driving, just not safe!

I was beginning to wonder if there was a sign on my car ...it's like my car was in everyone's way .. so please just smash me!

It started a few weeks ago .. came out of the mall to a small ding on the side of my car .. so someone opened their door .. hit me .. and left .. not a huge dent but ugh!

The following week .. I was in a restaurant when 3 ladies came in talking to the manager that some car just hit a toyota and took off (yup, mine is the one who got hit!) .. I go outside and yup ... scraped the bumper, crushed my license plate .. so frustrating!!

Then the other day .. Im patiently waiting an elderly person crossing in the cross walk when BAM!!!!! A car hits my rear bumper!!! We get out ..there's a small ding ..

So 2 out of 3 hits .. the person left .. no note, not taking responsibility, nothing!

So, now im left with my car that looks like I can't drive!!!!!!
